My mother is in Oakmont of Silver Creek. It's a great place, she loves it, and I can't imagine anybody not being happy there. They have all kinds of activities. They furnish transportation should she need it. They have really good food. They have a dog park, which is nice. They do allow people to have dogs. They have outdoor dining. They have a very nice courtyard. I think they have a little putting green in the courtyard. They have a bistro, a dining room, a lounge, and they have a lot of music people who come like different bands. They have these little concerts, and they do that a lot. It's a very nice place with very caring people.

Oakmont of Silver Creek is my favorite of the places I've toured. First of all, it's beautiful, it's up in the hills in Evergreen. Second, I would like to say that the person who runs the memory care there was excellent, her name is Eugenia, and it's been 30 years she's been doing memory care. And she was just very, very helpful about what to expect and what kind of things to look for. My mom doesn't need regular mealtimes because she gets up late, and they would accommodate that. They were the only ones that have a restaurant dining style where you can go down anytime and order food, so I liked that. The rooms were very beautiful and very well kept up, the facility was extremely clean. They also have an outdoor space for memory care and regular assisted living residents. It had tables and chairs, and lights if they want to go out there at nighttime, and they can do barbecues out there.

I toured Oakmont of Silver Creek. The memory care side that I visited had patients that were a little more advanced with dementia. This place was clean, and the staff was friendly. It just seemed to me that the patients were a little more advanced than my aunt was and that was the main reason that I didn't pick them. The rooms were kind of small, but they were safe. The bathrooms had grab bars, with no obstacles to getting in the shower. The shower doors were not glass, and that's important for me so if they fall, we don't want them to hit the glass. It was pretty well equipped for self-grooming type of thing. The regional supervisor was very friendly and very informative. She was very knowledgeable about what was going on and what goes on when we have dementia and what goes on in their head.

Oakmont of Silver Creek is the Ritz Carlton of residential living homes. I went to both assisted living and the memory care. My aunt doesn't quite qualify for assisted living. She qualifies more for the memory care. It was beautiful. It was like going to a five-star hotel. They had snacks, treats, and drinks for any guest coming. I saw the meals being prepared, and they looked very good. They had a workout area, a hair salon, a library, a game room, and a theater. It was fancy.

I saw Oakmont of Silver Creek's assisted living and for me, it's like an expensive timeshare. The staff was good and the room I saw was big. The only downside to this one is that they have one emergency button and it's in the bathroom. The other place I saw has them in every room. The dining area looked like a high-end restaurant and the menu looked good. Everything looked very nice there. They had a salon, a doctor's office, and an exercise room. The place was very clean and spacious. The scenery was also very nice.

Oakmont of Silver Creek is now Open! looked like a five star hotel. They served my father grilled chicken Caesar salad, and he really enjoyed it. I had a cheeseburger and fries, and it was also excellent. They seemed very accommodating with dietary needs and wants. They asked us to know if my dad has specific dietary restrictions or wants/needs. They said they keep note of that in the kitchen. I went to see the memory care, and they do socialization during the day with games. The activity director runs those things and I actually witnessed and saw them do that, and it seemed like they really engaged their residents. They have a library, an activity game room, an exercise room, barbershop, and a cafe bar. They actually went above and beyond to help me out with some questions.

memory care director was supposed to show us around the building and was yelling at the employees. she said they were not allowed to talk to her in a certain way or something. she was yelling in the dining room where the residents were eating. not acceptable to yell at employees, first of all, and definitely not in front of the residents. awful. the building looks nice and is new and fancy but the management seemed awful...

The community is overall beautiful, everything is stunning. The biggest issue we found is within the memory care department. The memory care director is very nice but is not on top of things. There are days when there is no staff or only one person who is being overworked. The residents do not have all the assistance they require. I counted about 20 residents in the dining room and only one person to take care of them all. Unacceptable. When touring we were told there would be 3 caregivers and a med tech on duty during the day, which was not correct. (We have reported to CDSS and ombudsman) We loved all the caregivers and staff within the building and appreciated all their hard work, but the neglect from the memory care director regarding these issues was too much and we are certainly looking at other places.

Oakmont of Silver Creek was out of our price range, but the staff and the food were spectacular. It's a brand new facility. If anybody in my area can afford it, I don't think they're going to find a better place than Oakmont of Silver Creek. I checked out their memory care, and it's out of this world. I saw the board, and there's entertainment, music, and just everything you could think of. Everything was great.
