Oakmont of Pacific Beach seems very nice. It's expensive, but nice. My friend has been there for a month now. The community has lots of good activities. They take them out once a week on outings in a bus, if they can go or want to go. They have excellent food and good care. The staff is fine. They're very attentive to my needs and hers. She has a studio. It's a new brand facility in the last three years so. It's a studio, so it's small. It's accommodating for her, and it's fine. They have one-bedrooms and two-bedrooms.

They give a great tour and promise stuff they don’t necessary deliver on. It is all about the money. Some of the staff is great others seem like it is a chore and don’t really care. The food is not very good and has been going downhill. The rooms are nice and the building is generally kept up.

Oakmont of Pacific Beach is outstanding, but it's very expensive. It is outstanding in terms of what it offers. They have a special floor for memory care. They have the state of the art just up to date with Alzheimer's. They work with the Alzheimer's Association. They offer good food and balanced diets for the patients. They have a lot of activities and a lot of care. You have your own shower in your room. There's a lot more personal care there. The staff members were very attentive. They have a restaurant that is open in the morning until seven at night. There's no rigid schedule. It is very flexible. The facility was pristine.

Oakmont of Pacific Beach was really wonderful. We were able to get a feel for how the community operated, and we met a lot of the residents there. We had a great discussion with the Director. She was really knowledgeable, very helpful, caring, and supportive of a caregiver's journey, regardless of whether or not we were going to go with their facility. It was really informative. The rooms that we saw were spacious. We saw the menu, and it looked incredible.

I toured Oakmont of Pacific Beach. It is a top-notch facility. It has everything. It has gourmet dinner and lunch every day. It has a very personal and attentive service. It's like a family. One drawback of that place is it's extremely expensive. It's not affordable unless you are very rich. I liked the place, but it costs very much. I can only rate it about a three overall because of that.

We visited Oakmont of Pacific Beach, and we really liked it. The staff, their food, and the rooms were great. They were very nice there. No pool, but there's a very nice garden, and the grounds are really nice. The dining room was very nice and very clean. The staff there was wonderful, everybody knew the residents at the smaller community, they were all super helpful. Their dining room is big enough for them to have people come whenever they want and still have the people separated.

Staff in general is good, but the current Executive Director is horrible. As financial POA I would expect an answer when I email him. They are sending financial documents to another family member in another city!! When I asked for the papers to be sent to me, no response. I've only emailed him 3x total since he's been there, and have been ignored every time. But when a male calls from my family, he's ready to help. Sexist director. Paying over $9000 for this treatment. Not happy AT ALL and may be moving.

The staff are really excellent - kind, well-trained. Management keeps a good eye on how residents are treated. There are lots of activities, for all levels of ability, and the staff work hard to keep residents engaged. The quality of the apartments is high - soundproof, great plumbing, pleasant. The dining facilities are good, and when necessary, the resident may eat in their room. Management is very responsive to calls and emails. After all the horror stories you see in the news, it is wonderful to have found such a nice place for my beloved mother.
Happy one

I visited 12 facilities before deciding on Oakmont for my husband and I am very happy with my decision! I am especially happy with Kathy in memory care because she is very good to my husband!

I toured Oakmont of Pacific Beach. It is lovely, and everything about it is wonderful except for two things: one, it doesn't have a swimming pool, and two, I don't know if I am ready enough for that kind of living. It's very progressive, and Sandra was wonderful; she's dynamic. She really gives you the feeling of the place, and that she really likes it there. It was really, really nice. They have a very beautiful dining room. The room was nothing special; the average size for senior living. They're bringing the meals to the rooms. It was a beautiful area, couldn't be better, is three blocks from the bay and five blocks from the ocean, and is in a great area with a lot of churches and places to eat. I think there's an LA fitness center a couple of blocks away. Everything was very convenient. They still have activities such as bingo, and they had an exercise class going on while we were there.

Oakmont of Pacific Beach is a very good, busy place. There's a lot going on all the time. They have a physical therapy room. I was able to try the food, and it was very good. We're very happy with the place. It is only about five months old, so everything is fairly new and beautiful. The staff is very kind and competent.

Oakmont of Pacific Beach was newer, and extremely active with activities, so there were a lot of things to do. However, the rooms that were available for the price, were shared and not private. They invited us one evening to enjoy the art instructor, which was very nice. They had very nice food. It had a theater, so you could watch movies on a big screen in comfortable seats. The staff couldn't be nicer and considerate. They know your name.
