Hillcrest Residential Care is awesome. They have two caregivers per six people. They also have a registered nurse that helps with the administration of the medication. It's very nice and very clean. My mother is bedridden, so they get her up and out of bed every day into the front room where there is social time. They prepare their food, wash them, clean them, feed them, medicate them, get them up and out, and help them get dressed. It's a residential home. The cooking is all done there, but they kind of overcook the meat. It's Filipino style, which is absolutely phenomenal, but my mother is picky.

Facility is fairly clean with an activities room and a patio. The caregivers seem to be kind and efficient. The same cannot be said about the office staff. There is no follow up on requests. You will never be allowed to speak to the patients doctor. Once they have exhausted your medicare payments they will work hard to discharge you, ready or not. They are unaware of current Medi-cal policies as well as discharge procedures required by law. After six months of daily arguing with staff I highly urge you to look elsewhere.
