I found Hurley Creek Senior Apartments. I was living here with a roommate at first, which was a terrible idea. But they were very helpful in finding me a single apartment, which I really liked. I like the space very much. It doesn't have the amenities that others did. It's very barebones, amenity-wise. However, the only thing I could afford at those other places was a studio, whereas here, I have a very spacious one-bedroom apartment. I love the individual apartment, but it is very isolated, and I have transportation issues, which I have not solved yet. I'm in good physical shape, but I have to walk a mile and a half to the store. However, the staff have been great. I don't know of their activities, and the only one I was interested in was a writer's group. I think they offer some game playing. I don't sense as much of the community as you have in other places, which is alright with me because I'm a writer, and there is enough space for me to make a little office. My needs in particular are met here, but I would say that it doesn't have the social interaction, and it's all kind of spread out. I've met a few people, but if you're here to fill up loneliness or something, I don't think it would work for you. The amenities are quite minimal. There are washers and dryers, but they're a distance away. Each apartment has a hookup for a washer and dryer, so you could get your own. Right now, I'm just using that as a storage.

No peace! They will bug you constantly with notices inspections but yet when you try to call them they won't answer the phone. The community room it's just for show no one feels welcomed or comfortable to go in there and just have a cup of coffee. The pool has not been fully functional for years. Some residents feel intimidated and will not speak up because they are afraid they might lose their place to live. When I first moved here years ago this was the place be full of life and love OUR community. Now like everything else in this world it's all about money and with us being seniors no one seems to care. This place is very depressing BEWEAR!! for many and we have to take care of each other. Security here is a joke!! I've never lived in an apartment complex where everyone was not given a parking space well here you're not you don't have a car you don't have a space and visitors don't have no place to park. You want to make thisplace your home but you're only allowed a couple of plants on your patio no bird feeder no chimes. I also believe there is more than one rule book around here some people have to follow some rules While others do not. This is a sad place!! I remember when it was a place of love and community. Many residents here is not pleased with management. Very rude!! Passive aggressive behavior could careless about the residents. please don't die in here they would never come and check on you unless it's time for rent to be paid. I just thought in my senior years I would be at peace. My family have noticed the change and me and is concerned

I am on the waiting list of Hurley Creek. I chose it because of its location. It was not crowded. It was out in a growing area where they would be building improvements in the future. The stores were very close. The bedroom was too small, but what I liked was the size of the deck. The staff seemed very nice.
