The Chateau on Capitol Avenue is close to a lot of venues for events, theater, restaurants, and things like that for people who are ambulatory enough to get on and off a bus or take public transportation. It just had no landscaped campus or a courtyard. It's more of an urban location. Everything starts on the second floor, but it was clean and they had a good presentation as far as upkeep. The staff was informative and had a pleasant personality. I had a meal there and there was little or nothing that I would eat there, because of my specific diet. The walls in the hallways were painted with bright colored curving stripes, which would give me vertigo. The carpeting was a pattern that I could hardly walk on, too. So, personally, it would not be a place for me.

I visited friends over at The Chateau on Capitol Avenue, and as far as I can tell, they seemed fine. For a number of years I had lunch there once a week. We had a group who met there, and I was always very impressed with the food and the service. They have some snacks available all the time. They have a computer and a library for the residents. At one time, they had jigsaw puzzles out all the time, and people were working on them, but the last time I was there I dont think I saw that. The staff I've interacted with were fine. I'd rate the building itself a "five," but I might cut it down to a "four" because they don't have any kind of yard space.

I visited Chateau on Capitol Avenue. Everybody was very nice. The rooms were pretty roomy. It was conveniently located across the street from a big theater. The food was wonderful. The dining area was very pretty. They had a view of everything.

I liked the Chateau. The staff was phenomenal, and the people who came out of the elevator were excited to come out and greet people. Everybody was friendly, and you didn't feel like a stranger. I loved the brightness of the open windows, but it was so noisy, I couldn't even hear my mom talk. The apartment was a little dingy, and they could use cleaner carpets. I stayed there for lunch, and the food was pretty good. The dining area is nothing fancy; you didn't feel that you have to dress up or anything, and it felt very welcoming and a little special with the napkins and tablecloth. One person was having a birthday party in a café, and that was nice.

My relative is in a one-bedroom apartment at Chateau on Capitol Avenue. We've all been very happy with it. The staff has been wonderful to her. They have all kinds of games and trips.

Chateau on Capitol Avenue was very nice. A lady showed me one room, which was like the penthouse suite and the nicest room they had. It was large and had lots of storage space. The staff was very nice. There were people eating and playing cards, but I didn't stay too long. The dining looked out over the city and looked very pleasant.

I find Chateau to be good; that's why I put my mother-in-law there. She's 107, and she doesn't participate on any activities, but it's all there. I will not mind living there because a lot of stuff goes on there. They have people come in and play music, and they take them to places. The dining area and the food are excellent. They have a very good chef. Her room is more than adequate for her needs. She has a little refrigerator and a microwave, but she cannot use them anyhow. I will recommend it if people can afford it because it is not an inexpensive place.

the facility was clean and bright. The staff were very friendly and respectful of the residents, but were cautious of non-employees until they were able to verify who and why you were there. This attention to the safety and security of the residents was very nice to see. The residents that I met stated that they enjoyed living at the facility and that they were well taken care of.
