My husband's mom is at Summerfield of Roseville. It was nice and friendly. It's smaller than the other facilities. My husband thought that this was homier and a better place for her. We like the staff and that's a big decision-making factor. They have activities for her, and I guess they keep her busy. She sounds very happy, and we feel like she's in a good place for now. The physical condition of the facility is very good. Everything is good. It's clean and well-maintained. The location is close by about 10 to 15 minutes from us. We have dealt with one staff member so far and she is always available via phone. And from what we learned from the initial visits and conversation, they keep the residents busy during the day, like after breakfast until early in the afternoon. I don't know what kind of activity they have, but it seems like they match people together very well. When we got there, there was another resident who came over and greeted us, and she and my mother-in-law seemed to be a good match, so they went along together. I think social time and activities are a good combination. Value for money was very compatible with everyone else, so that's a big factor also. Their prices were much better.

I went to look at Summerfield of Roseville. What I liked most was that the girl who gave me the tour was super friendly. She gave me all the information. She was extremely helpful and listened to all of my concerns. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about it. I liked the fact that it was a nice, small community. She showed me a little courtyard area. There was a television room for them and a dining area. It was nice, small, and intimate, which would not overwhelm somebody with some memory issues. It's an older facility, but it looked well-kept.

Oh my gosh, Summerfield of Roseville was wonderful! I love that place. I fell in love with it. It was great. The staff who gave the tour, her name is Jane, and we have connected. She's the one who said, 'Let me work on something for you. I will help you because my mom couldn't afford that. Everything was perfect. It was gorgeous. And the way the place was being run, I wanted my mom to go there so badly, but the price was high. I fell in love with the staff who gave the tour. She was so kind. She understood what I was going through. She was compassionate. She knows the business and knows how to handle the people. Just an amazing woman. With regards to dining, I don't know anything about the food, but the dining area was amazing. Activities were going on when I toured there. They had a performer playing guitar, and the residents who were in their wheelchairs were clapping and taking part in the music and enjoying it. They had activities every day. I would say 6 to 8 hours that calendar was full every day of the week.

My mother will be moving into Summerfield of Roseville. I had a really good vibe and feeling when we walked through and did the tour. All the residents seemed genuinely happy. The room was very nice. It was the only place that I found that came with a furnished private room. It had lots of room. Everything was nice and bright. It didn't seem depressing. The menu looked very good, and there were multiple choices. They have a large outdoor area where you can walk, do your own gardening, or feed the squirrels. My mom likes to be outside and plant flowers, and that gives her the opportunity.

We chose Summerfield of Roseville for my friend because of the staff and the arrangement of the room. It was clean. They have a salon and outside activities.
