Sterling Court at Roseville is amazing. You can tell that they're ready to welcome you. When I brought my grandma, they had a welcome sign that said, 'Welcome home.' Everybody greeted her. My grandmother was very hesitant, but after we got her in and sat her down and everything, she felt like she was in the lap of luxury. When you come in, it has a beautiful seating area. It's very welcoming, just like you're walking into a comfortable home, but fancy. There's coffee and everything waiting. When you go right in, there's the dining area, which is restaurant-style. It's something that my grandma likes, where she can place an order. They offer 24-hour services there. When you go down to the room again, everybody greets you and says hi and how you're doing. But once you get into the room, there's a little kitchenette. It's very homey but stylish. It's clean and beautiful, and everybody is there to assist the residents. My grandmother has a studio, but there's a little half wall that helps give it a little separation.

We went to Sterling Court at Roseville. I like the location there. The best thing about going is that it's right across from the Kaiser Hospital, which my father belongs to. And so, it has a big plus in that sense. Other than that, I was hardpressed to warm up to it. It's kind of a dark place. The front desk is lacking support. It's lacking personnel. What I mean by that is there should be a concierge there someplace at all times, but they're doing some multitasking. So they're away from the desk and you're waiting there forever. And the other part that bothered me a lot was that there was to me, at least a security lapse, a potential security issue. Someone could come in there and they wouldn't even know who came in there. The rooms were small. I felt that we would look in a one-bedroom, and we felt that it was kind of a small one-bedroom, so restricted, and should have maybe a few more square footage in there, and that's what we noticed. And then we checked one other room they had, and that one kind of turned me off because they just shampooed it. I don't know what happened there or they had some water leak from the top, but there was a smell of water. They have been standing there for a long time, and that carpet wouldn't absorb that. It gives you a musky smell to it. They have that in that room. And that turned me off there, too. I find the facility very old. And so it's had better days.

My nephew is a resident here. It is a wonderful place. The woman managing it is great. I really like it there. It is a very good place. I can't think of anything negative about it. The place is clean, and it is beautifully laid out, and furnished. The people are very nice and very caring. It is a very nice place and comfortable. There's a garden court, a patio, and a salon. There's an area within the building that if you want to have a small party, there's a room where you can do that. The common areas are large and very comfortable.
