Is AboutLife Care Facility affiliated with a hospital if more care is needed?

Accepted Answer

Yes. In case there is more care needed, we have a Nurse on staff. If required, we have hospice waiver and close relations with a few hospice companies. Kaiser and Sutter hospitals are within close distance. The ambulance/fire department is half a mile distance from the facility.

We have weekly training. Plus, every time the state comes up with a new pin, we have meetings to train the staff on the matter.

Accepted Answer

We keep family  updated with any changes that happen in their resident health. Inform them after doctor visits of any new medication prescribed, or changes.  If family can't visit, we organize video calls.

During the day, there are two caregivers plus the administrator. At night, we have two caregivers. One is awake per requirement.

Adequate exercise. Daily walks for mobility. We organize daily games involving all residents for social activities.

For security, we have alarms on every exit including windows. There are 3 different alerts in case one fails to ring. For safety, the facility has a flat floor without obstacles and bumps. A easy way to walk is with a walker or in a wheelchair.

It is one on one as needed. Some need more help so we communicate every step and show the moves so they can follow. We encourage residents to do most of the daily activities on their own. Only assist when needed.

Only small pets, and only if necessary due to possible allergic residents at the facility. In the center of the house, there is a place where the activities are held. We have a beautiful enclosed backyard Where when the weather allows, residents have breakfast and enjoy the flower blooms and organic garden.

We only cook from scratch. Coming from Europe, our food Is based on a Mediterranean-style diet.

The Sierra Medow park is across the street from the facility. Excellent place for walks, family time. Lots of coffee shops ( High Hand, Pottery World) for them to enjoy with loved ones when visiting.

The facility has three different types of security/alarm. Cameras with sensors around the building. Enclosed backyard with sensor and camera by the exit gate. Gated front yard
