I toured Raincross Senior Village. The apartment itself was clean, but the carpets needed to be replaced. It had two bathrooms, and the square footage wasn't too bad. The drawbacks for me were that it's older and it's in the far back building on the second floor, so I had to go down three long hallways just to get to the apartment, which didn't appeal to me at all. They do have chutes for laundry and trash, but I don't think they have a washing machine and dryer. It had the basic things like a microwave, disposal, stove, and I think it may have had a refrigerator. The hallways were just dated and pretty old. It seemed pretty clean, though. I just spoke with the manager, and she was very friendly. She gave me as much information as she could about what the cost would be. The other kind of downside for me is, and I didn't realize this until I went back and looked at the information on their brochure, the monthly pet fee and $45 fee for covered parking, which is not particularly enticing.
