Patients we're verbally abused and mistreated, es pp ecially if it were regarding financial issues. Although the facility had a Social worker who had gone from hundreds of cases and gsd y OK travel, to a stationary job site with approximately 50 patient. There was little or no family interaction and displays of laziness. I had to apply for and follow up on the location of my application ad we'll as it's status completion of the application. There we're a mixed race of resident patients but no one available to do black hair care which I had to finance on NY own. There was lots of verbal and emotional abuse to client/patients from staff ! The food was, at best nominal. I'd it give to 3 star rating at best. Menu options and food flavoring and prep would get 3 stars out of five . Resources fr I m the staff were very minimal! The staff was lazy and to keep from doing their jobs, the buck was placed in the residents lap quíte often, especially when it came to finances regarding residents stays. After the new management/owners took over on 11/1/2014, the residential care became alot worse. Many residents we're dumped back to family if they had any who cared or we're transferred or booted out, in my case: I would never refer this facility to anyonne , not even my favorite pet!

We are very happy with Chapman Convalescent Hospital. We have not had any problems with the care. We feel that it offers very good care. I have not tasted their food, but it seems to be fine. They have an activities room, and they have bingo, people who play music, card games, and board games.

My father has just recently become a resident of Chapman. This was a difficult decision for me. After realizing that dad needed 24 hr care the hospital contacted Chapman. When I arrived I found that it was very clean. The staff was so very helpful to me and asked a lot of questions about my dad and what he enjoys and how his life was prior to arriving there. So far I am very pleased with the care he is getting. The room is terribly small and I was a bit concerned about that but he has what he needs and sleeps much of the day at his age so for now we will deal with that. My opinion is that Chapman seems to go out of their way to mke sure that the enviroment is clean. I come almost every day to see him and there is always some sort of cleaning crew working to shine things up. The residents seem happy and attended to and many are doing activities when I come in. So far I am very pleased with his care.
