I went to look at Holiday Valencia Commons. The staff was not very knowledgeable. One patient was walking around, and she looked like a zombie. She didn't look happy. I just didn't get a good vibe from the place. At one point, we were asking about the care you get, and the lady who was telling us all the information and stuff was like, "Oh, here's a cell phone. You can call the lady that does the care because it's separate from the place." It was very rude and unprofessional. I didn't like it. The place was beautiful. The rooms are too big. I felt that older people don't need that much space. It looked too spacious to have accidents going to the bathroom and stuff. They have a company that comes in and takes care of people.

I have visited Holiday Valencia Commons a couple of times. The gal that I was working with, Marie, was incredibly kind, and welcoming, and just made the process less daunting. So, I just liked her manner of dealing with us. We weren't ready to move my mother-in-law, but I started the process in October just to do my homework, and I asked her to stay in contact with me and just let me know how things are going, what's available and the pricing and all of that, and she was very consistent with keeping me in the loop. The facility is not newer, but I know they are refurbishing the rooms. The refurbished rooms are nice. They were very attentive to the people living there, but also I could tell how the residents responded to them. I didn't feel like they were putting on a show for just the tour. I think it was just very authentic. They have senior ambassadors. So people come and visit and they kind of give them the independence and the autonomy and leadership to take a role in their own home. So, I thought that was pretty impressive. The two times I went there, it wasn't during mealtime, but the menus and their options looked amazing. I think it was pretty good and the fact that they have a little bistro for them so they kind of come and go as they please if they want a snack or drink or whatever. I thought that was impressive. They have a hair salon, Catholic mass, and games. They have an activity every day. They're encouraged to not eat in their room but to come down and eat, to be social, and that's a big part of what we were looking for, to make sure that my mother-in-law is not going to be lonely and that she continues to be social.

My brother moved into Holiday Valencia Commons. So far, it's really good. I like the way they do everything, and there's freedom and all that stuff. That's good. It's great, very beautiful. The staff is nice, polite, and caring. They have a lot of activities going on. I like bingo and everything, and the book club. He likes the food.

My mom will be moving into Holiday Valencia Commons. The staff members are very friendly and easy to talk to. They showed me the dining room, which was very spectacular and seemed very high-end. Some of the facilities are upgraded, and some are not.

My tour at Holiday Valencia Commons was great. The staff was very friendly, Maria came in on her day off and meet with me and we did the tour. I was very pleased with the single accommodations there and it's within the budget. It was a nice experience and a beautiful facility. I met some of the residents, they were very friendly, and I met the sales manager as well. The residents were eating lunch at the time, but I didn't try the food. They had karaoke scheduled and they were getting ready to play bingo. It's a very pleasant and nice atmosphere. They just went through a multi-million dollar renovation, so everything was very clean and kept up well.

Holiday Valencia Commons is very, very clean, and the people are very friendly, but the food is terrible. It's not healthy and not very tasty. Last night, I had clam chowder soup, and it smelled like dead fish and it tasted awful. I had a beef dip sandwich and it was the worst tasting beef I've ever tasted in my life, and I had to spit it out. I was sick all night because of the little bit I ate. The staff is very polite and very nice. They have bingo, they have people come in and do short talks on things like history and stuff like that, they have some karaoke singing, and bingo. There's a very poorly equipped gym, and there's no treadmill.

Holiday Valencia Commons was in need of significant updating. We only dealt with one person, who was the lady in charge of customer relations. She was very nice and very helpful. It was obviously a much older facility, and they did mention that they were going to be doing construction in the very near future. I think they had already started in portions of the building. The staff was very friendly, but overall it was our least favorite facility that we visited. It was just due to the appearance of the inside. We nicknamed the facility Motel 6. It was not the facility we want to put our loved ones in.

I did a tour of Holiday Valencia Commons. The layout of it was really nice. When you come in, there's a central area. You can see the dining room and the library. It's open, and everything feeds into the center area. The rooms are extremely nice. I was just very happy with the cleanliness and the friendliness.

I love the fact that Holiday Valencia Commons is a lot more calm and quiet and there's enough space for everyone. There's a lot more area for a person to walk, but I love the fact that it's pretty much smoke-free because my aunt has breathing problems. The cleanliness is amazing. The person who gave us the tour also told us that the cleaning services are weekly and that they'll clean around anything personal, but they've also added a third party if we wanted to have them do a different type of cleaning service, which is perfect also. We thought it was very good. The rooms themselves are a perfect size. We wanted to go with more of the studio side because my aunt doesn't need a whole extra bedroom or anything like that. We also enjoyed the fact that the meals are fixable to her diet plan. We didn't get to stay because we had other things planned after the tour, but everything smelled delicious. The person who gave us the tour did give us a menu to look at to see what kind of food they serve throughout the day and throughout the week. We got to check the programs on the calendar for the week. They also let us know that throughout the week, they have performers, which I think was interesting. They have magicians and musicians that come and play and they also have something that's coming up for a beach day, which I thought was cool, too. They had a patio, a gym, and a walkway. We didn't get to go outside because it's super hot and we decided to forego that part of the tour, but they have orange groves and there's a park right next to the location that people can walk on.

We toured Holiday Valencia Commons. They were very friendly. We had a very nice lunch. We had one of the residents with us at lunch, so it was nice to talk to somebody firsthand who lived there. She'd lived there two years. They had lovely grounds. We weren't so happy with the unit that we were shown. It would show better if it had furniture in it. It was just a barebone, empty apartment, and the kitchen area was just a very barebone stripped-down kitchen area, which was not pleasing to us. We would prefer more kitchen than they had. The place was lovely. We were given a sheet of the activity list, and it looked like they had all kinds of fun activities going on and that people enjoyed living there. They're going to be starting construction on renovation, so they're going to be bringing it more up to date. It looked very nice as it was. It was a lovely, lovely area and lovely grounds. There're lots of big trees and grassy areas, and we liked that. We're looking for something with patio space outside, and those units have very tiny outdoor space. They only have independent living, and then if you need assisted living, they can have people come in and assist you there. It just wasn't the best facility for us, but the tour itself was very comprehensive. The person who toured us was very helpful and very pleasant. They answered all our questions and sent us with plenty of information and a box of home-baked muffins. My husband is a diabetic and it didn't seem like they had much to offer him on the menu, but what we had for lunch was good.

My husband and I are moving into Valencia Commons. I find the staff very helpful and caring, and I've enjoyed the meals I've had there. They've been very good. Having not lived there yet, I can't say a lot about other things. Although, I find it clean and very accommodating. Our apartment is very nice. It's a 2-bedroom, 2-bathroom apartment, and it's clean. They were cooperative when they were putting floors in. I had asked for hardwood floors, and they put them in. It was something they could accommodate me with. The spaces are more than adequate. We're moving from a 1900 square foot house into a 900 square foot apartment, so it's going to be different for us. Size-wise, I think, it is more than adequate. It is the most reasonable we've found for the price and for the accommodations. I looked at a lot of other places. Not very many places have 2-bedroom apartments, and if they do, they are much more expensive than the ones you see in Commons. I found their prices reasonable. Their dining is restaurant-like where they take your order from a menu. I wouldn't say you have a whole lot of choices, but you have enough choices that I haven't been unhappy with what I've had to eat. It's organized very well and set up very well. There's a hair salon, chapel, library, and a TV room or movie room. There is also a very small exercise room with only three machines. If you're really looking for something with an exercise regimen, it's probably not the place to go. It's adequate for my husband's needs which was what was important for us. The place seems to be adequate; I haven't found anything that doesn't work. There's lots of green areas with plants and trees around the place. It's a pleasant atmosphere. Their food was very good, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'm a picky eater and there's a lot of things I do not like or don't tolerate well in my diet, and I found the food to be prepared in a manner that I could eat. If somebody else wanted it spicy or whatever, they could embellish it. It's a little older facility. It is not as up to date as some places, but it's clean and nicely kept.

Valencia Commons was our primary pick but we found somewhere else that's cheaper. It's an independent living and I liked the location. Everything else was the same with the community we have chosen, like the amenities and the menu because they're run by the same company. The menu, the amenities, and the facility were just as nice. The people were awesome. It was more about the money. The dining area looked nice. We did not test anything during the tour but the staff was awesome. The place is clean and nice. The food looked good too.

I liked that Valencia Commons was in a nice, secure area. It's close to where I live currently. It had a good vibe to it. The staff during the tour was informative and very helpful. There's a little balcony or porch off the individual units. They had different courtyards. Each place kind of blends together a little bit.

Valencia Commons is a beautiful facility. The staff are extremely kind and attentive. The food it’s OK and what you would expect in a large facility like this. If you are a foodie or a good cook you will agree it could be better. What we liked about Valencia is you could purchase separately Caregiving when needed. Not many activities during the Covid time. But if you would like to be more active you are able to coordinate things to do or visit with residents in the large living area. The cost is a bit pricey but after viewing other facilities I feel it was a good deal. The location is beautiful and located right next to a large park which offers a fun place to go when family visits. The store is right down the street and you are close to many fun places. I would recommend Valencia Commons.

My father-in-law has been in Valencia Commons for two weeks now. It's like a big house with a couple of apartments, and he has his own place. It's a one-bedroom with a living room, which is nice. There's nurses checking in on him three times a day, making sure he's OK, and giving him food. They have some social things going on too. It is cool. The staff is excellent and doing a very good job. They have a library, some games, a media room, and an outdoor landscape.

My mother likes Valencia Commons. It's beautiful, it's been fixed up really nicely, it has a nice view, and it's modern. They could sign us up to get the vaccine at their facility if we wanted. They were really personable. The apartments were really beautiful. It was a little more on the pricy side, but it was nice, and they treated us very well. They did what they could to get us in there. If we were going to find a place, that's the place mom says she wanted to go back to. We had a good lunch. They fed us turkey with mashed potatoes, vegetables, and some cherry cake, and it was good. They had a beauty salon and all the different places, and they take everybody to outings and things like that.

Valencia Commons was very clean and not smelly. They offer meals, there's housekeeping, linen services, they have someone there to care for you 24/7 if you need it, there's a security alert, and a button or pull cord in the room. There are physical, mental, and social activities, and they have transportation to doctors and other scheduled appointments.

The apartments at Valencia Commons were small and didn't have a kitchen, just a microwave and a sink. They were nice people, and you don't have to pay any money down to get in. The staff was fine. I saw them loading up a bunch of people to go some place. It was a clean and well-maintained facility and they were operating it properly.

My mother has been living at Valencia Commons for a year. She is in independent living but she gets minor assistance. The people who run the place, Stuart and Gary, are very helpful. All the caregivers are wonderful. The food is good. She loves it there. She has help with her apartment in cleaning and doing some laundry. Everybody is really nice and very helpful. My mom has an apartment with an efficiency kitchen, one bedroom, one bath, and a balcony. They have lots of other options like studios, 2-bedrooms, and all kinds of apartment. They're fed three times a day and there's always snacks, coffee, and juice. They have a movie usually once a day, and they serve popcorn. They have beanbag baseball which my mom participates in. They also have Bingo, and excursions if you want to go.

Valencia Commons was a nice facility, but expensive. I only saw one room, and it was a studio room. I didn’t really see any amenities. They did have a big dining hall where they had different activities in that room. The person who gave me a tour was personable and provided the information about the facility. I didn’t like the way they did their fees. They had a room rate, and then on top of that, whatever other services were needed, were extra charges and handled by a different organization that could provide different care. All you would pay Valencia Commons is rent for the room, but to get other services, you have to contract these other agencies. I didn’t really care for that.

I loved Valencia Commons, but it's too expensive for us. The facility and the rooms are very nice. The dining room is very nice, and the menu is very nice and very inviting to someone who doesn't really eat and everything was just great. They have a theater room, and I think I even saw a chapel area. I saw what looked like an exercise room and a game room. They have a kitchen area where you could go and warm up something if you wanted to. The people are very nice, and the residents looked like they were very happy, contented, pleasant, and looked like they knew they were in a good place. I know that the guy was telling me that it's about $2600 a month, but when I got there, they were talking about $3200 or $3400, so there was a difference in that.

I liked everything about Valencia Commons. It was the nicest community I’ve been in. First of all, I liked the manager. He greeted us as soon as we walked in through the door and was a very enthusiastic and absolutely wonderful person. The place was decorated beautifully and had a comfortable feeling when you walk in. The staff greet you and were enthusiastic and happy. They had different activities, like exercises and evening programs where you can learn about traveling to different countries. They had a chapel, a beauty parlor where people get trimmed, and a beautiful atrium where people could talk. Their dining room was very nice.

Valencia Commons is very active. The seniors seem very happy there. It’s a larger community in a good neighborhood. They have a park right across the street and veterans activities. Their staff is dressed casually, so it does not have an institutional feel because their staff doesn’t dress up in uniform. It is very casual but very attentive. They have a reading room, a library, a little weight room, a pool table, lots of activities, and transportation to nearby appointmens. It seemed like a very well-run facility.

Valencia Commons was really nice, but it is an independent living facility and mom needs an assisted living facility. The staff was great, and Elizabeth, the marketer, was great. I almost signed the papers. They have what they call guardian angels who can assist the residents if needed, but the cost is not included in price. They have a great location quite near hospitals.

I liked the place. As soon as I went in, people were smiling and socializing. It's an open building where everybody can see each other. They have a really big dining place, they have a chef, and it is really clean and pearly. They have beautiful aisles and everything that a person will need when they are walking. They have seats and places where they can hold on to the wall for support. They have beautiful pictures all over; they have it decorated prettily. The staff was really nice, down-to-earth, and friendly. My husband is going to be at Valencia Commons. We just found this place, and it is really close to my house.

I like the Valencia because the dining room is huge and open, it's a different kind of atmosphere, and it didn't feel like a tight bunch of old people there. It didn't say assisted living, although they said my mother could be there, and we just hire somebody and pay extra to assist her if she needs somebody to get her dressed or whatever. The staff were very nice, and I didn't have any issues with them. It's within 5 to 10 minutes from family members, and if they would pick her up, they could take her to a park. They have games, transportation, and a little exercise room, and the location is close to stores. They have a lady that is cutting people's hair, and that's nice for my mother because she is very vain. They have a podiatrist that comes in many times a month. The rooms were very nice. I really would prefer her being there. I went there twice, and the second time I took my mother. I liked the fact that they had a place where if she got up during the night and wanted to go get coffee or donuts at 11:00 or 12:00, it's always there.

My mother really likes Valencia Commons. It's the one where she thinks she would fit in the most. It was priced reasonably and she likes the fact that it has a lot of variety of rooms when family comes to visit. They had a pool table room; they had a TV room. They had a library; they had a little chapel. She really liked that. She felt like it was more homey. The staff was very accommodating, very nice and they answered all our questions.

Everything about Valencia Commons was very good, but it is not in my reach. It costs so much that I cannot figure out any way that I could live there. The rooms were very nice. The staff was very nice, very helpful, and informative. The food was very good. They had many activities. I loved their location; it was beautiful. I think everything is very commendable, but the one thing that stood out for me was the amount that they charge for living there, and I couldn't afford it. They are a very high visibility place, and I love it there. I've been there several times, and the girl that usually meets me and takes me to anything that was going on there is very, very nice. She called me up and told me that they were lowering the price, but that still didn't give me enough that I could afford it. So I just had to thank them very much. It is wonderful that they lowered it, but it still isn't anything I can afford. I think it is just a marvelous place to live, but it is very expensive. It has a very nice atmosphere. I don't even know if I have words to explain how pleasant and nice it is.

Valencia Commons is a beautiful facility, and it’s very nice. They change managers a lot though. The staff is very good with the elderly. My parents had a one-bedroom apartment, which was very nice. It was on the bottom floor, it had a patio and a back door that went out to the nice yard that went to the car port. It’s just perfect. They offer activities, but not many seniors do them.

Valencia Commons is a very nice facility. The staff who took me on a tour was very nice. It was a very good facility; however it was independent. It wasn't going to give my dad the services that I think he needed. It was also much more expensive.
