My dad was in La Paloma Healthcare Center. It's a really old facility. I think they have too many patients; they have three patients per room. I feel like his needs weren't getting met at some point. There's a call button, and he's in diapers, and he said he had to sit in his diapers for a couple of hours before they got to him. The staff seems to be really nice. I ran across many nice people there. I just think that it's probably too overcrowded. It looks like they have a big community room where there's a TV and they eat lunch. It looks like they have some arts and crafts and things like that they do with some people. But it looks like a lot of those people are in really bad health and don't participate.

Keep your loved ones out if you have the power to. Little compassion demonstrated. Little empathy demonstrated. It takes just as much time to deliver information with kindness as it does with a lack of kindness. Medication was not administered even though it was scheduled, my mother was allowed to languish in her own waste, and there was at least one day where her chart was inaccurately dated. There were a few professional, kind people, but overall, patients are not treated with respect or dignity. Ron, a nurse; Saray, at the front desk; nurse practitioner Ann(e); Michael, admissions; and Marquet, the phys therapist were the five who showed consistent care and kindness.

Worst experience I could ever dream of. Came there after back surgery and they kept me so drugged I don’t remember a thing. My fiancé got me out of there as soon as she saw how bad I was. Thankfully I got better treatment at another facility. And no drugs!!

The staff at La Paloma Healthcare Center seemed nice. The place was clean and organized. The grounds were ugly and they didn’t have very many plants. The rooms had sliding glass doors looking outside. I often came at lunchtime, but I wouldn’t want to eat their food. They had Bingo every day, but no other activities were offered. The inside of the building was updated and pretty, but the outside was not.

This place is kept sparkling clean but patients are NOT. Shower once a week. No care for teeth or daily cleansing of any kind. BAD!!!!

Recovering from total hip replacement: asked for pain med repeatedly until reaching pain level of 8 or 9. Nobody should be treated that way. Nurse apologized but what good does that do?

My mom was here in October of last year. She had excellent care. All the staff was very attentive to her needs. They were aware that this hospitalization was really hard on my mom and our family. They went out of their way to help us with things like doing a will, helping fill out long term care insurance paperwork. Things that other facilities have told us we have to do ourselves. They were all superb

This place is a joke. They are not a place you want to send your loved ones. Admitting patients that do not need to be admitted, medication not being given at appropriate times, sometimes missing med's all together, meals that are to say the least nasty and skimpy, no assistants when needed, lost items never found, caretakers rude, and do not listen to patients needs, physical therapy is a joke as well, if they get to you that day, then when your ready to go they hold you for 2 or 3 days with the excuse "your doctor must sign your release". What doctor takes this long to sign a release, just a scam to get more money from you. Charges don't even get me started, charges that of course should not be on the bill, or billing for days not even there. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE.
