My mother is in Napa Post Acute (Formerly Golden Livingcenter Napa) right now. They are working with her, and they give a lot of attention to her. She's had a lot of people coming in. The doctor, nurse, social worker, occupational therapist, and other therapists, all talked to me and explained to me what they were doing. They had a team come in to check the condition of her skin. The lady at the desk was answering phones and took the time to run into her room and give the phone to her. When I first walked in the facility, it kind of smelled like pee, but the area where my mother is didn't smell like pee.

My sister was in Napa Valley Care Center two years ago. It was big. I kind of hated going to it because there were people all over the place in wheelchairs, and it seemed like a little less under control than the two homes I visited. It had a little bit of an odor to it. It was hard to get a hold of a nurse if you had a problem. She was a mess. They should have prompt staffing. I had to go there multiple times to catch a doctor that was there. I always had to wait and try to catch them and it was difficult. She was on a nasal feeding tube when she went in. She had started eating soft food toward the end and was starting to learn how to eat again. The food was not awful, but it was not gourmet.
