My mom moved into Olivera Residential Home. Mom has a very spacious bedroom, and she has her own bathroom. There are four other residents, so there are only five residents there in total. The man who owns the place lives there, so somebody is there all the time. There are two ladies all day too. The ratio of three to one is amazing compared to other rest homes. We were able to decorate Mom's home. We made it as homey as we could. The owner is very accommodating to get my mom to the doctor if my brother cannot, and to get her to the beauty shop or the podiatrist. He is very accommodating and helpful. He immediately took over any medications that Mom takes. She has three meals a day. She can have them in her room, or she can sit at the dining room table with other residents if she wants to, so they are very flexible. Mom's care is very good. I'm very happy with the man who owns the place. He is very congenial and very happy to work with you. The ladies that are there are very kind. My mother likes them a lot. I'm very happy with the care. There are no activities to my knowledge, but there is a big TV and there are all kinds of DVDs. I wish the residence look better on the outside. My brother picked it, but it is not what I would pick as a daughter. The yard needs to be done. Everything is very neat and tidy inside, but its first appearance as you pull up could use some work.
