My father is pretty comfortable right now at Ararat Home. They are rated as the top in the nation. It's perfect, very clean, very efficient, and very organized. The nurses are consistently the same. The adults don't have a lot of variation of people every day that they have to deal with. They don't have to explain them over and over. The nurses are particular to only one patient, and they know how to work with them and they work with them on a regular basis. They're right on top of things, very caring, and show a lot of respect. The food is made to the requirement of each patient. If somebody is diabetic, they don't get the same food as somebody who is not diabetic. They watch out for the care of the individuals. The food is excellent and very clean. They know my dad is on a special diet; they make sure that they accommodate his special diet so his blood sugar and blood pressure don't fluctuate. I'm very happy with them.

Ararat Home was one of the top-rated nursing homes and one of the top facilities in California. That facility had everything, and they were 100% perfect on everything. Name it, they had it. Medical would pay 100%, if you were not in a private room. Everything there was fantastic and top of the line. Nothing could beat that place. It was the best.

My first impression of the place was the smell. To be honest, assisted living facilities usually have a certain scent about them that is usually somewhat gross. This one smelled very pleasant and was very warm. The tour guide who gave me my tour was extremely helpful and nice. She answered all of my questions regarding roommates, the food situation and so many more. She was friendly in all her responses and genuinely seemed like she wanted to be there. I tried some of the food that is served there as this was a huge deciding factor, (I don't want my parents eating nasty food) and it was pretty delicious. Overall, the experience here was a great one. I really enjoyed the whole place. The rooms were large and spacious and the recreational areas were sizable, although not massive. The community and other residents were quite nice. They did have the TV on quite loud which made it slightly difficult to hear my parents give me their opinions. They really liked the place, and I really liked it too. The only negative I guess I could give it is the location. It was kind of hard to find. Other than that, it was an amazing place.

To describe my personal experiences with the assisted living facility I stated, Ararat Home of Los Angeles, I would describe it many ways. While I'm not a huge fan of being around sick people or hospital like environment such as an assisted living facility, I have to say I didn't feel boxed in at Ararat Home of Los Angeles as I would have at a hospital let alone another assisted living facility. The staff are incredibly friendly and are quick to take care of their residents. There's 24/7 staff and security monitoring everything to the tee. The outside portion of the facilities is well maintained and tranquil for those residents who may wish to take a stroll or ride around in their wheelchairs. My only complaint about Ararat Home and I suppose other assisted living facilities is the fact that the workers sometimes take away person items of affection from the residents in fear that they may hurt themselves. I personally see this as theft by the employees

The facility is located in Mission Hills, California. It is a large and beautifully decorated place. It has beautiful outdoor gardens. The interiors are spacious and inviting, with warm neutral tones. Overall, it gives a feeling of warmth and tranquility. The staff are very professional and friendly. They provide care in a dignified and discreet way. The environment is a happy one, the residents are content and peaceful. The rooms are adequately stocked with all the amenities and the living spaces are large. The dining halls are clean and the food and refreshments are healthy and well portioned. The facility also features a great ballroom which provides as an entertainment area for the residents and also serves as a banquet hall for community events and gatherings. Overall, the facility provides high quality assisted living services and nursing/convalescent care. The facility caters to the Armenian community of Southern California and promotes Armenian heritage and culture in America.
