I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

Do not send your loved one to this facility!! They want the insurance money until it runs out and will desperately try to keep patients regardless of baseline. Lack of communication is extremely frustrating and most of the time the phone just rings with no answer. If you’re lucky enough someone will answer and you’ll be placed on indefinite hold! If you leave a message for a staff member, such as the case manager, don’t expect a call back.

If you go to this facility be prepared for chaos, and you better bring your own toilet seat because all of those have been removed. The doctor in charge rarely shows up and is unresponsive when requests are made for help. The staff are all nice and helpful but there is no communication between departments so the left hand never knows what the right hand is doing, and the primary form of communication is to shout down the hallways day and night. The food is pretty good and plentiful this is a warehouse for people who will probably never leave. If you need to rehabilitate, go elsewhere.

The people that excellent. The only problem is. The communication is hard for them to understand me, and me to understand them. They are extremely nice people.

My father was in Stonebrook Health and Rehabilitation. It's an amazing facility. They were good in all aspects. What we loved is we had two doctors; we had a doctor from Good Samaritan Hospital, plus the doctor that actually works at the facility. They had great communication, always letting us know the updates. We liked the personalization, that's what my father received there. I could tell he felt comfortable there, and whatever the facility is supposed to provide, they provided it. Even with the COVID situation, you put a mask on, and you would go up to his window with a screen and he'd be laying in bed in the distance, and we could see him. That was kind of nice, I liked that. It's right across the street from the hospital, so it's very convenient.

I chose Stonebrook, but I wouldn't recommend it. The care is not 100%, and when I asked for help, it took them 45 minutes to send someone. The air conditioning went out, the room was kind of small, and four people had to share the bathroom. The meals were not very good. My experience was very negative.

I visited this facility

I was in the care of Stonebrook for 10 days after a cervical antiorior/posterior neck operation. I arrived late at night and the first person I met was Lucille. She was like a gift from heaven. So kind and so soothing. Then there was Tammy from the kitchen. I'll never forget the kindness she showed me. I was dying for ice cream and she went out of her way to get me some. She didn't have to do that. All the nurses I had were great and the Physical Therapy people were awesome. They were also fun to work with. The only thing I didn't care for was the food. Oh, I should also mention this facility was very, very clean.... like a brand new place. The room I had was very comfortable and the temperature was just right.

My name is Frances I needed rehab due to left side being partially paralyzed. Stonebrook was home for over two months. I had been in a SNF before so I was nervous but the second I entered, it was clean and modern lots of decoration. Huge activity room full of patients interacting a full hair salon. The medical care I received was phenomenal. Call lights answered quickly any staff member seeing the light comes in and offers help!!! Unheard of administrater to housekeeping offering to help or get someone who could. REHAB greatest no exageration they taught how to work with what you are given with minimal amount of pain. The facility is awesome it is fully equipped for occupational therapy complete with steps, kitchen and bathroom. Therapists push you to the point where you think you can't go further but they know whats best and amazing. Food yes its a SNF but they go out of the way to make sure you are satisfied with taste, texture and pute nutrition shout out to Leng who visited every day to assure my diabetic cardio diet exceeded standards. The entire staff is like family. I love you Stone brook thank you for everything.

Stay away. I went in there 3 days after having a knee replacement. The place is advertised as a rehabilitation facility, but it really is a warehouse for sad, old people with dementia, etc., that have nowhere else to go. There were only two people in there who were actually receiving physical therapy. The food was barely palatable, the employees yelled at each other in the hallways all night, I was told that I had to get up at 5:30am, get dressed and stay up all day. They had no idea of why I was in there. A strange man came into my room to "see what the new patient looked like." I had to yell at him to get him to leave my room. The back door was unlocked all night. The 'inmates' were screaming in the night. I didn't feel safe at all. I called a taxi the next morning and went home. There are much better places for post surgery care and rehabilitation.
