I stayed at Veterans Home, and everything was great. The staff were good and the food was delicious. Everybody had a private room, but a shared bathroom with another resident. There was a private area with television as well as a central lounge with television too. There was an internet connection also. The physical fitness room with equipment was manned by a trainer everyday.

The facility is clean, food is good just be aware that most of the staff is at 3-year old English comprehension level.

Veterans Home of West Los Angeles looks just as beautiful in person if not better. It literally looked like a high-end hotel. It was gorgeous. It's separate from the VA. It's state-funded, so it's California Veterans. It was beautiful, everybody looked happy, and it was clean. It was great. My dad is on a waitlist. It felt like a lifeline. He's running out of money, and I didn’t know where I could put him. This seemed to be a good place. He can afford it with his pension if he gets in. At the time when I visited, there was a concert going on, someone playing the violin, and a pianist as well. The veterans looked so happy.

This place should be shut down. It is understaffed and the people working there are unprofessional. Not enough food. Not enough to do. It is awful. Sorry my friend ever went there.
