My father is in The Chateau of Long Beach. The living atmosphere is very pleasant. The facilities are very good. They have karaoke, Sunday services, dance, games, and art projects. The activities are pretty good and he participates in them. All the residents seem very happy. The rooms are a good size and the accommodations are better than average. The staff is very caring, very kind, and very friendly. He seems to enjoy his meals, which look tasty.

My family member was recently transferred to this facility. Family member has been missing for 3 days straight. The facility did not call us until just before sundown the day they went missing, so we lost precious time that could have been used looking for my family member. We will be reporting this facility for their carelessness, negligence, and incompetence. My family member should have never been transferred without our consent, and is now MISSING and without their medication.

I saw The Chateau of Long Beach. There were caregivers on-site. It's pretty nice, friendly, mixed race, and mixed needs. It's a very close community, it's like a hotel, and it had very good accommodations and a big kitchen. The area was pretty clean, they had a big park across from it, and it's very close to everything. The managers were friendly and made you feel welcome. They had activities, a game room with a pool, holiday activities, a big living room where they could have a social gathering, watch TV, or listen to music, and they had a big piano there. It's really sheltered because they have security and all the rooms were close together. I saw the large dining area, but I didn't sample their food. Everything was good.

I toured The Chateau of Long Beach. It was nice, the staff was great, and the manager toured me around the facility, all the rooms, everything, and how it functions. Everything was in place, everybody was working on their duties, and they seemed to be well organized. The dining area seemed to be very nice, it was pretty large, and I saw the movie theater and the exercise room that they had. It's closer to my house.

Chateau Of Long Beach has a lot of potential. If staff members respect each others opinions and work together great progress will happen. Chateau is in the process of upgrading the building inside and out. I hope it will be completed within the year. The staff is really nice and hard working. It seems there maybe an understaffed problem, especially at night and the weekend. Most staff members seem to have multiple jobs. Hopefully they are looking into a silent assistant alarm that does not go all over the building all day and night. I'm sure some attention to the dinning area would be spirit lifting and appreciated by the residents and visitors. Maybe table clothes and center pieces. Great effort is being taken to make sure the building is sanitized and order free. As of present my love one seems to be happy there and feel secure. He enjoys the activities and the meals. Staff members are helpful and assist when needed. Expecting the best for all the residents and staff.

The Chateau of Long Beach had a few issues. My cousin has a car but they said they did not have parking for him. They said he had to park on the street, and that was not acceptable. Also, the place in general seemed to be disorganized. The patio area where the smokers and all the other people hang out was not very well maintained. The rooms were inadequate. They're like an apartment building. The apartments were set off the hallway. Inside the room, there's a closet on the one side and there's a restroom on the other. The entrance hallways were narrow. They have a dining room and they post various activities that they have available, but those were pretty standard.

FIVE STARS in every category! CLEAN & QUAINT! Decor has wonderful personality and ambiance. Ran by a staff of friendly and caring individuals. A tight ship, for example the food is good and nutritious, structure and schedules are well maintained and safety is a top priority (running periodic safety checks- I've noticed). Geri, the director is a gift to her residents and staff as she takes each resident's concerns and situations seriously and personally gets involved. She told me when first meeting her that she loves, the elderly, our Veterans and is an animal lover (don't think animals are allowed though) just to show you how true blue this seasoned administrator is and she actually has proven these claims as I have been overseeing my husbands care. Once again her staff is wonderful, showing kindness, patience and administering any help where needed. This is an older facility with a lot of Beach and 60's/70's charm that has been well maintained and beautified over the years. My husband is thriving in this facility after just 6 short months and is actually regaining his health! A+ /10 STARS/BRAVO ZULU TO THE CHATEAU IN LONG BEACH! Thank YOU!

The facility is kind of old but still clean. It is located in a busy street though so I don't really like the location. I don't feel safe to put my loved ones in this location. The personnel in the other hand are nice and friendly and very helpful. I do like their daily activities for the residents to keep them busy. Transportation are also available to bring residents to wherever they need to go to. Food is good and delicious and healthy.
