My grandparents are at Summerset Senior Living of Lincoln, on the assisted living side. They are very responsive, very open to discussion, and very friendly. They made move in very easy. It is clean, very open, and easy to get around. My grandparents think the food is wonderful, I don't eat there, but they love it. They have a movie theater, a library, an ice cream parlor, outings every week, and semi-weekly happy hour with guests; they are very busy.

Summerset Lincoln was open and light. Some residents were sitting around with each other, chatting, talking, and laughing. It had a sense of community. From the moment I arrived, I was met by the marketing representative, and she was very down to earth. She took extensive time with me to answer questions. She gave me a tour of the place. The facility is beautiful. It has floor-to-ceiling murals of landscapes so that even when you're inside, it feels like you have a window to the outside. I chatted with some of the residents, and they were very pleasant. This place has a central courtyard that they call the backyard, where they have gatherings and barbecues. There are some raised beds for garden-minded people so that they can dig in the dirt, plant flowers, and do what they do. They also have a hairdresser who comes in and takes appointments a couple of times a week. They have a physical therapy room and a game room. The whole third floor is sort of a sports theme. They have a lot of competitions up there for people who are sports-minded. There are nurses or medical professionals who do blood pressure checks regularly. All of the residents wear alerts around their necks so that if they were to fall, they could get help immediately. The menu looked good. They have alternates like if you don't like what's being served, they have sort of standby things that people can choose from. The location of this place is close to grocery stores and has easy access to drugstores. There are several churches in the area and a post office that's a few blocks away. It's just a very convenient location.

The Summerset Lincoln is gorgeous and nice. It's only a year old and just a beautiful facility. We looked at both their independent and assisted living. From what I saw, they had a huge number of activities. Everything from bocce ball, music, game rooms, to pool table and tennis. They even had a kitchen where family members could come in and cook and have a big family dinner. They had a spa room with a bathtub. They had a puzzle room, card games, a library, and computer stuff. They also had a nice little cafe area where you could go get tea, coffee, and water throughout the day. They had areas where you could just go, sit and read. There is not much you wouldn't want there, that's for sure. The only thing that I didn't see was a pool but it was nice. Their facilities are beautiful. The only thing to complain about was just that the closets were just way too small for anybody, especially for independent living. It didn't have adequate space. Nobody wants their suitcase on top of their kitchen cabinets and I don't know if they have an extra storage locker somewhere but that's just something that I would think would be handy so people could put large items to store like suitcases and some other things.

We went and saw Summerset Senior Living of Lincoln. We liked that. I think that was my husband's favorite place. We liked the sales guy, Tony, who took us around. He was a nice guy. We loved all the hand-painted murals on the walls, all different ones, different scenes, and we loved their beautiful sports bar. The whole place was nice and clean. There's a nice patio outside, and it had a pudgy ball. The staff said that the liability is so expensive for a pool, and they've decided to use their money in other ways, like going on trips, activities, and stuff like that. They had a nice theater, too.

I toured Summerset Senior Living of Lincoln for my husband. It felt friendly, and it was small, but it was very nice. It just seemed a little more comfortable to me. The one who toured me gave me a little gift package with some of their things with their logo on it, and it had a little book and things like that.

We've already placed mom in Summerset Senior Living of Lincoln three weeks ago. So far, it's been really good. She said the food is really good. They have a patio, the rooms are very nice, the building is very new, and the place is only four years old. It's very clean as well. It has a clean smell to it and doesn't have any kind of an odor, like a lot of places do. The rooms are nice. They're spacious and they're kept clean. They're bigger than some of the other rooms I've seen in other facilities. The bathrooms are very large and the showers have a seat built in so you don't have to bring your own shower chair. They play bingo, they color, and they watch movies together. They have a large area where they serve food and they can all mingle while they're eating. They have very good procedures for COVID, where they've had all the residents and staff vaccinated. They don't have to keep people in their rooms and quarantine them. They can all be around each other. They take them out for drives as well. The only drawback I have is that we live twenty fours miles away. But it was worth it to us as a family to put our relative in there as long as they take care of her properly. We would make the distance work. The most important thing is her care.

My mother was “dropped’ while being transferred from bed to commode chair 3 times in this facility. Although they claim she fell. They also claimed to have given medicine when they hadn’t, which was important for pain meds, so they wouldn’t lapse. I reported them to APS, and the administration shared this information among other admins, my brothers and I and my moms power of attorney. During a week last year that they had “norovirus”, we were asked not to visit. I went to visit anyway, and my moms food tray was left on the counter, as she was bed ridden mostly, she wasn’t being fed or hydrated. A few of the staff were friendly and helpful. But way way way understaffed. I gave a 2 star only to credit the techs that were helpful. Residents should be self sufficient to live here. Would not recommend to a friend.

I visited Summerset Senior Living. It's a nice facility, quite new, and only half filled. They have fully independent living, and levels of assistance, with four different pricing tier extras on top of the rent. They also have a memory care facility. It wasn't luxurious, it was basic, but it was pleasant. The staff was really helpful. The rooms were very clean with tiled floors, there were no bad smells, and they were painted nicely.
