I visited a friend at Waterford Terrace Retirement Community. She gave me a tour, and she was pretty thorough. It was very close to where I live now. I liked it. I did eat lunch there. I had some kind of fish. I think it was white bass. They have a nice menu, and they have a lot of choices. The rooms were all different. It was amazing to me how many different floor plans there were. They have a lot of activities, and the people seemed to attend. When I was there that day, I was surprised at how many people were attending different activities. They all seemed pretty happy. They were smiling. They didn't need to smile for me because I was just a guest. It was kind of a plus for them. The staff were all very nice and really friendly. I think I ordered the wrong thing because the fish wasn't all that good, but my friend that lives there said most of the food is better than that. They don't have a pool, and I'm a swimmer. I won't go there because of that.

I visited the Waterford Terrace Retirement Community. It was much more of a grand entrance. The entryway was quite grand. It's a three-story building with access to outside gardens. They have rooftop gardens, and there are cottages at the top level. There's more outdoor environment on the top level, but the first two levels were all indoor-like hotel-style apartments. It's a big facility, and it has a huge dining area. Activities are provided. It's an active community there. Food is all included. They also had a couple of food stations that were available throughout the day for the residents to get snacks and things that they want. Then they have their regular dinner and breakfast time slots. Everything is very nice, and it's comforting to know that the residents are happy, and the staff is friendly.

My mom loves Waterford Terrace Retirement Living. They provide her meals and she's been very impressed by the variety of food. It's all planned out for the whole week. The people are very friendly and have been very welcoming. The staff has been very accommodating and quick to respond to any of her needs. They have light cleaning services, like changing the bed linens and stuff. They also have different activities scheduled throughout the day, including movies, exercise classes, and events like that. They have a bus that can take you to appointments or outings or scenic drives. Even though the place is a little old, they keep it nice.

I liked Waterford Terrace Retirement Community very much. The tour went great, I like just about everything about it. Some of the residents were milling around, and there was some music program going on. That was very nice. It was very clean, and they have different options to choose from, and I've gone there many times. The lady was great. She was great with answering questions and taking us on the tour and showing us everything. There are some beautiful views from the Waterford Terrace, and they had balconies, which I was kind of looking for. But I was very impressed with the cleanliness and the graciousness of all the different people that we were introduced to. My daughter, my granddaughter, and I all liked it very, very much.

We went to the Waterford Terrace Retirement Community. It was very nice. They had a lot of complete services. We were impressed by it. We talked with Tina. She gave us a tour of the apartments. We thought they were very nice, adequate for one person, but we didn't think it would be adequate for two people (for both of us). They have a list of activities, a movie club, and a book club. Tina was very knowledgeable and very good. She showed us the menu. It looked very expensive. I was very impressed with how clean it was, and it smelled nice.

I toured Waterford Terrace Retirement Community. They showed me a couple of rooms, the dining area, and the recreation area. The rooms were very nice and very accommodating for me. I use wheelchairs and walkers, and the walk-in bathroom with shower was good. They also had a kitchen, a TV, and you got your own Wi-Fi, which is very nice. The staff was informative and answered all of our questions. They showed us how much it cost each month. The staff was very well informed and did a good job with communication.

We toured Waterford Terrace Retirement Community a year ago. We went, and they invited us to go at lunchtime. I recently got a letter from the manager. We met him when we were there that time, but he sent me a letter telling us that they have had a lot of changes and he is now the manager of the facility, they have done a lot of renovating, and he wants to set up another appointment with us. We may do that and look at it again. It was very nice. We were very impressed, and the people were very nice and friendly, especially the people who lived there. Several of them actually stopped us in the hallways and said, "This is a great place to live. We hope you're going to join us." They have a lot of good things there. From what I remembered, the meals were very good, and they told us the kitchen was always open. It's open twenty-four hours a day, and they will make whatever you want. Even if you come down at 2:00 am, there will be somebody there that can make something for you. The dining room was very nice. He actually invited some of the residents to join us for lunch so that they could tell us how long they have been living there and how they find it. I thought that was kind of nice. The rooms seemed to be clean. We liked it so I know that it was very good. They had a beauty salon. They had a calendar that showed all the different things that they do -- at that time there were a lot of things that they could do. They had transportation when you need to go to doctor's appointments, although you do have a space for a car, and you can drive yourself whenever you want. The facility seemed a little bit worn, but it was clean. It seemed some of the things were worn out, but like he said they have done a lot of renovations, and we haven't seen it since then.

Waterford Terrace was wonderful. We loved it. It was on top of our list, but it was not licensed assisted living, which was slightly concerning. However, they have a caregiving operation that works closely with them. The amenities and activities were wonderful. They had a movie theater and a store, which my client liked. The staff was very nice. We felt very good about them. It was very grand looking when you drove up to it. Everything was clean, and the decor was very beautiful.

I went to Waterford Terrace, I thought it was very nice, but it does not take my long-term care insurance. It has a very nice location, and every unit has a patio, so everybody has a room with a good view. They have very nice menu of activities, and there's two days a week where they take people for medical appointments, and two days a week when they take them out shopping. I was very interested in them. It's an age-in-place facility. The independent and assisted living stay in the same location, and they just come and help them out. The memory care is probably in another building. I had lunch there and it was nice.

I looked at several places, and Waterford Terrace was my choice. I came here, and I have not been sorry. The people are nice, the staff is excellent, the food is superb, and the facilities are good. We're about 3 miles from where my family lives. The activities were very well done; they have a list of 8 or 9 activities published weekly.

I liked Waterford Terrace. The food was OK, but it was more cafeteria-type food with a not-so-large selection. The layout of the place was very nice. They had a movie theater, a game room, a room for social events, and an exercise room. They had everything that you would want, like a beauty shop. It was a very nice place. The rooms were nice but had a partial kitchen with a hot plate, a little microwave, a counter, and a small refrigerator.

I really liked Waterford Terrace. They just did not have any rooms available. It was not as grand as the two other facilities I visited, but they had caring people, and it was well maintained. It was certainly a consideration for us. The staff and the rooms were wonderful. They seemed to have a nice weekly/daily calendar of activities as well.

Waterford Terrace actually was my favorite place. In regard to the people, they looked so happy, and there were a group of women playing cards. It was independent living, but you could contract in assisted help. It just felt good, everybody seemed happy, and they have clients who have been there for a very long time.

The rooms were fine, although I really think that the amount they are asking for the studio is a lot of money. They cost too much. I was really surprised. I really liked the staff there. I ate lunch, and it was very good. They go on trips, they have an exercise rooms, and they have a beauty shop. It is very nice. If I had the money, I would go there. I liked the people because they were very nice.

After almost 50 years in the same home, and many heart to heart discussions, it was time for my folks to move into a senior community. They needed more support than living on their own offered. Waterford Terrace in La Mesa impressed us from the moment we turned into the entrance, and my folks felt comfortable at once. It is truly gracious, as the name suggests, and they now call it home. In a nutshell....the grounds are always well maintained and lovely with many trees, shrubs and flowers. The management team is extremely supportive, knowledgeable, and responds quickly to any resident concerns. The staff is incredibly friendly and go out of their way to help the residents. And the wide variety of activities offered, the movie theater, and the fitness center, are second to none. There is something for everyone. My folks have now been living at Waterford for almost a year and tell me often how safe they feel, how pleased they are with their choice, and how much they enjoy the location. Thank you, Waterford Terrace management and staff, for making my folks feel at home from the day they moved in.
