My dad was in Westchester Villa. They provide a full range of care, different levels depending on a person's needs, including memory care, and they have a full time staff and excellent service. The administrators are very thorough and professional, and they cover all of his needs as far as making sure they all had the information on him before they admitted him, and before they got him into their care, made sure that he was gonna get the proper care at the facility. They took care of every detail, so the administration was superb. The staff welcomed him when we got him in there, and gave him excellent care. The space is spotless, the appearance showed us that they take very good care of their facility. He was there pre-halloween, they had some decorations, they had Halloween activities, and they had staff entertaining the guests. They were really into it. The staff is very involved with activities, and making sure that everyone gets what they want, what they need, and what they can do for them.

My dad is currently in Westchester Villa but he doesn't like the food there. The staff is fine and his room is also fine in terms of size and layout, I also brought his furniture there. It's a large community, it's too big for him. Their facilities are beautiful and they also have common areas although I didn't see residents using them. They're feeding him porkchop but he can't chew that, so why would they give him that if he can't chew. It's not fair to some people who can't eat or chew their food. The place itself is clean. My father had a challenge in maintaining his blood pressure at the beginning because they're not skilled nurses and finds it difficult on what needs to be done. I don't think they're the right community for people in-between memory care and someone who completely needs assistance or those who don't really need that much assistance.

Westchester Villa is very nice but more expensive and more like a hotel setting. The eating area is nice, like a restaurant with tables and tablecloths. The rooms, beds, and carpet on the floor are nice.

My daughter has been at Westchester Villa for about a month and a half now. So far, it has been a positive experience for her. I have been pleased with it. It is kind of a large facility. The only thing that I had a complaint with was, I asked if I can pick my daughter up, bring her out, and take her to church, but she wasn’t dressed in the particular way that I would like her to be dressed. Other than that, there hasn’t been any problem. So far, I’m pleased with it.

My visit to Westchester Villa was great. I was very pleased with the representative, her explanation of things, and the cleanliness of the facility. They have rooms for individuals, shared rooms, and the cost was really reasonable compared to other places. The dining room is nice. They have activities, they have about 4 sitting areas for the residents. If you’re looking for a place that would provide a lot of comfort and amenities, that's the place to go.

Westchester Villa is our first choice for my mother. This facility is very clean -- not that large -- but it was elegant. The staff is friendly. The administrators are very hands on that they would answer the phone when the other girls are busy.

We looked at Westchester, which is better than many but still marginal. The facility looked good, and I think the staff is good, but the food was not particularly interesting on the day that I was there. It's sad, and that made a big impact. I was there during lunch, but there was nobody in the rooms and in the common areas before lunch. They all appeared for lunch and then they all went away.
