Do NOT go to this facility. A family member was there and did NOT receive any decent care. They refused to give him a Covid test even though he was sick - I called to intervene - after I pushed them hard, he got a test and was positive. He suffered for three days without a covid test and he has underlying medical issues. He asked for cough medicine or decongestant for three days!!! It was dirty - staff took forever to see him. We had to repeatedly ask for the doctor. It's a bad inhumane place - stay away at all costs.

My aunt is in Rinaldi Convalescent Hospital. Her room is a nice size. She shares her room with another person, and it is bright and clean. They're very good about making sure that the hospital smells good. There's a nice smell when you walk through it. The staff is very caring and attentive to her needs, but sometimes you have to go find someone to get help. They're busy. I go there a lot and I find myself trying to have people come in and help me do certain things. My aunt is not particularly fond of the food, but she doesn't like a lot of things either. I see other people's food, and it looks pretty good. They have activities for the residents in their activity room if the resident is mobile to go in there, either in a wheelchair or with their walker. They have activities for the holidays. They had a big Cinco de Mayo celebration. They try to keep the staff morale up because it was Nurses Week. They had Crazy Hair Day, and yesterday was Western Day. It is kind of engaging for the patients because the staff is dressing up and it's something nice to see. It makes a quite festive environment for them. When you walk in, it's very nice and inviting. They have an outside area and patients can go out there and stretch their legs or sit in their wheelchairs and get some sun. It's nice and quiet inside the building. Overall, it's good. It's just not meeting my aunt's needs at this point. The administrative staff and the Social Services department are very helpful. They will go out of their way to help you, guide you, and support you.

I just moved here to Rinaldi Convalescent Hospital. I probably had 20 caregivers since yesterday. Even the director of nursing came in to say hello or asked if I needed anything. I am happy being here. The caregivers, the nurses, the aides, the dieticians, and everybody are all phenomenal. A girl came in with a flier about the things that were going on today. So, you're not isolated here. The facility is very clean and the food is excellent.

My father was in Rinaldi Convalescent Hospital. It's a big place, and it's disorganized. Sometimes they don't answer your calls. You have to keep calling. Then somebody picks up, and they put you on hold. Because of covid they said you can't come in. You have to have an appointment. Appointment is limited to thirty minutes. Overall I don't think it's a good place to put your loved ones. I met maybe one or two of the staff. It's a big place, so they are constantly changing staff. I never met one that I was very close to. My dad was there for about two weeks. He had a normal, clean room. When you make several attempts to contact them, then they tell you the patient is good and he's walking, which is not true. In my dad's case, they said he's walking and able to do everything on his own. When it was time to discharge, I picked him up and he couldn't do anything.

My mother-in-law was at Rinaldi for a short-term rehab the therapy department was outstanding the nursing staff was unbelievable I really felt good about leaving my mom there she had no complaints loved everyone who took care of her from the kitchen from the housekeeping department and they all treated her very very well there was one CNA Sarah C who took care of her with so much love I will never forget her the food was great and if she didn't like something she would ask me to bring it for her but overall I would highly recommend Rinaldi to anybody.

My mother is staying here after breaking her hip. The Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy dept is excellent. The Food: The put out a daily menu....but it's rarely followed. Breakfast is usually missing the bacon or sausage. Oatmeal is awful. They don't put any seasoning packets on the trays or if they do it's a lone packet of salt or sugar. Burgers have come with no lettuce, tomato or ketchup or mustard. Needless to say my mother's lost 15 pounds so far. The nursing staff (the RNs and LVNs): They are all very good at what they do. They do well to keep track of her medial needs. The CNAs: They people themselves are very nice....although she rarely sees them. Their patient/CNA ratio is awful (12:1). More than one CNAs are in the dining room feeding permanent residents in the morning while the other temporary patients are left in their beds waiting to use the bathroom, to be dressed, etc. More than once my mother has had to have a bowel movement in her Depends...because no CNA was available to assist her to the restroom. I gave her the main number to the facility since they rarely answer the call light quickly and there have been times when no one answers the phone....after 20 rings. There are call lights...which turn on a light out in the hall. Good luck if anyone sees your light on. The bathrooms are tiny. The windows are old and leak when it rains. The facility itself is quite clean...just old and in need of a huge remodel. There are no phones in the rooms. My mother has her cell phone which is the only way I can talk to her. They will arrange transportation for doctors appointments. Mental Health: if your loved one is claustrophobic...keep looking. The rooms are tiny. I've been begging for a psychiatrist to visit my mother and get her started on some anti-anxiety meds/depression meds for over two weeks. I've been told her primary can't prescribe them (although I'm doubting this). Evidently the doc that visits only assesses patients once a month. If your loved one can advocate for themselves and move around you should be okay....if not, and you can't spend half your day at the facility every day, keep shopping.
