My sister is in Magnolia Gardens. They are really good with her. They are starting to get her walking. She is improving. Her room is pretty nice. They clean it every day. They have plenty of parking spaces. They are a long way from the shopping place. They have a nice craft room.

My elderly mother was transferred to Magnolia Gardens after a recent fall. Within two months following her admission to Magnolia Gardens, with a well-planned physiotherapy programme delivered by highly skilled staff, she was able to walk out of the centre unaided. During the same period my father was also transferred from the hospital to Magnolia Centre. The staff and management worked hard to make sure they were put together in the same room. This meant so much to me and my family. By mid-August both parents were well enough to leave the facility, full of praise for the staff and management. I would once again like to thank the senior management and the staff for all their help, support and compassion that they showed during my parents’ stay.

Magnolia Gardens was a very nice place, but they are understaffed. My aunt needed to go to the restroom because she could not walk, and it took them a very long time to get to her. The staff is friendly and wonderful, but I don't think they are on top of things. I certainly think they need to improve on their customer service. They need to be able to call back within a reasonable time, not several days later.

The staff was all very nice. I just knew my friend couldn't share a room with three people, and that was what most of the rooms were at Magnolia Gardens. I knew that would be an issue with her because she currently lives in her own home with a caregiver, so I kind of know that her personality would be difficult for her to go there. The rooms were OK, but they had three beds per room. It was a beautiful location. The outside was beautiful, but it was a little more hospital oriented which is not really what she was looking for. It is a smaller facility -- which is OK -- because you don't want tons of people. I got the impression though that it was hard to get in there, and she might need to be on the list for a while or really come straight from a hospital or something like that. It had a nice little back patio or outdoorsy kind of area.

I did like Magnolia Gardens because even though it was packed, they did not have any available space and they were extremely busy the day that we went, but the lead nurse took time to talk to us and gave us information about their facility and everything. Their location was nice because it was sort of secluded with the trees; it didn't feel like an institution. The lead nurse helped us, but I felt like someone else could have helped direct us -- like an aide or something. They didn't need to leave the lead nurse to do everything. Everything was clean and they were attending to the patients very well; like I said, they were extremely busy. I did see a few doctors walking around and physical therapists with the people. They didn't have the front entrance type of thing where they have brochures or somebody like a hospitality person or something just for the reception. We saw people doing different things, and I think that was the problem. You saw some people that could have helped us, but they chose not to or management has them not helping us.

I visited Magnolia Gardens, and it was very bad. The staff seemed very knowledgeable, but the place was smelly. They had six to eight people per room -- not all the rooms, but in some of the rooms. When they were taking me around, I saw one of the rooms, and there was somebody in a body bag. The door was open, so they could have at least closed the door. I also saw the food there, and it looked like dog food.

this small gem is nestled in a lovely neighborhood with park like grounds. My mother in law has been a resident for 2 years and her sister did rehab there after a stoke for 6 months. The staff is attentive and caring and the smaller setting is perfect for our mom. Her sister liked it so much she says she wished she could have stayed!! I highly recommend them for either long term care or short rehab stays. The accent is on caring and nurturing each client as an individual.

Horrible! The facility is dirty and unsanitary. The staff is unorganized and nobody is helpful. After cleaning patients soiled bottoms, I have witnessed the staff using the same dirty unchanged glove to touch doorhandles, beds, patient trays. I would never have anyone placed here! Fall precaution patients and swallow precaution patients take warning and look long and hard before selecting this place. The activity director and maybe two CNA's are about the only thing positive at Magnolia Gardens.
