I have been here about two months. I was referred from a hospital after being immobile for a week to receive mobility therapy. I am in a double room with an adjoining 1/2 bath. Initially the food was below average but after personnel changes it has become acceptable. The activities personnel are very active and provide many things to do. I find the CNA's and Nurses to be very competent and attentive to my needs. The entire staff get along well and appear to be quite efficient in keeping everyone comfortable and meet our needs and demands quite well. If anything special is wanted, all we have to do is ask for it and every attempt is made to accommodate.

Gross dirty place. They have no one really watching the patients. My mom was not cared for at all while she was there. I don’t know how it’s still open. Don’t take your loved one here unless you don’t like them. And you want them to not be taken care of.

My relative is a resident of Mesa Glen Care Center. When she calls, they don't go right away to take care of her needs. Sometimes they bring her food that she doesn't like, even though she has told them she doesn't like it. They gave her a different room. For quite some time, she was complaining that the overhead light above her bed was not on. She needs a light to be on all the time. They needed to put in a brighter light, but they didn't do it. Sometimes her cell phone has gone missing. We let them know, and they say, "Oh, well, we'll do a search for it." Then they find it. The facility seems to be clean. It's just that it's an older place, so it doesn't seem to be cheerful.

Absolutely a horrible experience for my father. Very unsafe and neglectful. Due to this experience, I contacted LA County Public Health and the facility is being written up and fined. The patient to resident ratio is ridiculous and the environment is really depressing. Do not bring your loved ones here.

Mesa Glen Care Center was a nice place. Dad gets the care that he needs, even though he wants everybody to do what he wants. His room is for three people, which is the only thing that I don't like, but all of the rooms are laid out that way. The staff is good. They have bingo and movie nights, and entertainment comes in. They have a lot of activities going on there. The dining area is good, but the food is not that great.

The employees at Mesa Glen Care Center were very nice and very caring. My father is there for rehab, and it's pretty clean. The staff is very caring, but since he has been there, he got a pressure ulcer on the bottom of his heel and another pressure ulcer on his butt, so that's very concerning to me. The wound nurses are taking care of those areas. He went in because he couldn't walk nor stand. Prior to him being hospitalized, he was able to walk, but after being hospitalized, he couldn't walk. I would've liked for them to give him more rehab. They have a very small rehab, and they take him Monday to Friday, but it's been almost two months, and he is still not any closer to walking. He's actually worse. They should be more involved in getting him to walk or even stand. Getting him to appointments is horrible. The social workers who are making the appointments are lacking. At the hospital, they wanted him to see a vascular surgeon and that appointment still hasn't been made two months later.
