My mother was at Glendale Post Acute Center. What we liked the best was the physical therapy, and what we liked least about them was the nighttime nursing and their shortage of staff. The rooms were very dark, and when it rains, the water gets inside the room. They were outdated, the smell was worse, and I didn't like the layout. They had a courtyard but it wasn't very inviting because it was always wet. The physical therapy staff were very well-trained, and instructive, they were positive, and they were willing to help the patients. There was a big problem with the nursing staff, they didn't want to help the patients and they were short-staffed too. Their food is worse than where she's in right now. They have activities but there were only a few people that participated, and it was the same people all the time. So it wasn't too inclusive.

My father-in-law is in Royal Oaks. The facility is fine. Cleanliness is fine. They are upgrading. He is in a shared room and they have a shared bathroom, but it is spacious enough. The staff treats him fine. Their attitude is great. The dining room is nice. The food is very well prepared, and it is nice and hot when it is served. There's no problem as far as I can tell. I know they have good exercise and ways for them to get around, but he is committed to a wheelchair so he cannot really get around easily. The facility is very well taken care of, and they have plenty of room for people to move around and things for the elderly to do. The staff is friendly to the residents. They are knowledgeable, and I will recommend them.
