I am trying to get in touch with the social services person of Country Inn of Downey the past couple of weeks in behalf of my brother who is now confined in the hospital since almost two months ago and unable to attend to his personal needs one of which is that he might not be able to return to the Downey facility for some time and he continues to pay for the rent there and would like to simply discuss his options there. My messages to return my call has not been answered to date.

This place is a good fit for my relative. Some of his behavior issues would work against his being accepted at better organized more "middle class" seeming places.I do not think this would be good for anyone who needed for example close monitoring of medication.

My father was at this facility for 4 years. Initially it was okay but toward the end, I was not pleased. The facility smelled horrible and my father's clothes and belongings kept disappearing. When I complained they simply said they would look into it. The administrator was not friendly.

I have toured this facility. It is assisted living. Located on a nice, safe street. Clean and well maintained, non-ordorous. Resident's seem to be active doing things as you walk in. The administrator is very caring and seems to know her resident''s very well. She seems flexible in going above and beyond to accommodate resident's/families with special needs. It seems safe and comfortable. Has been in the communit for a long time as has a good reputation. I would recommend this facility.
