Hello! My family highly recommends Coronado Retirement Village as a wonderful place for our 89-year-old mother to live. She has her own private room with a large window, private bathroom and shower, and it's situated in the beautiful scenic Coronado Island overlooking the Coronado Bay Bridge. We receive excellent service from the staff, and the dining has many options. Thank you, CRV!

- Special Comment: We are very proud to offer a loving and caring environment that feels like home. Our dedication to eldercare started when our own family member was diagnosed with dementia and needed special care and attention. We learned that the effect of Alzheimer’s looked different from day to day and various interventions were necessary as the disease progressed. No matter the ailment, heartfelt attention was always appreciated. We want to provide that same nurturing and understanding community for those seniors who can’t stay at home. I toured Coronado Retirement Village. I've seen so many of the assisted living in Ohio and in Seattle, but that one seems to be outdated for me. The staff, they're very nice people.

I went to look at Coronado Retirement Village. The staff was exceptional. They were warm and inviting. The place was clean. But the residents weren't intermingling. I just didn't see anybody. It was very dark. The facility needs an upgrade. The staff members were very informative. When some of the residents needed assistance, they were right there and helpful. The residents seemed very clean. The place didn't smell at all, but it just needs a monetary investment. They have one bedroom with a study area. They have different floor plans.

The staff at Coronado Retirement Village were nice and polite. The hallways appeared dark, and the size of their rooms was smaller and didn't have the same amenities as the other place we toured had, and it looked like a hotel room. They had a countertop and a small office refrigerator, but that's about it. There were some residents doing morning exercises in one of the rooms. The grounds were neatly kept, but they didn't have as big in terms of a walking area as the other place.

I toured Coronado Retirement Village and the location was great. The staff seemed a little bit rushed, but they were friendly and knowledgeable. We saw some of the residents eating lunch and some were just walking around, but they seemed well cared for. The rooms seemed old and needed a face lift. When I asked them about that, they told me that it had been upgraded. They offer three meals a day, linen services, emergency bells in all the rooms, and and anything over and above would be charged extra.

My husband and I went to Coronado Retirement Village, and the tour person was very nice. She answered all of our questions and showed us all around. It would be a real nice place and I would love to live there, but it was just too expensive. They had a very nice studio. It was very clean and had a very nice view. It was right across from the park also. The place was immaculate and we really liked it.

Coronado Retirement Village is nice. The people who work there seem really nice. My dad hates it because he wants to be in his house, but they're trying to make him comfortable. They have a courtyard and they have a nice view, though they won't really let me in because of COVID. He likes the food.

Coronado Retirement Village was older, and it looked a little worn. The living quarters were alright, but they reminded me of an older motel. The dining room was sufficient. However, there was nothing about it that made me feel like it would be a place that I would want to be all the time. I was not impressed. Also there were no people out that I saw. I didn't get to see a whole lot there. It looked like it needed some TLC. The staff was fine though.

Coronado Retirement Village is a combined independent living and memory care, so they have a separate area for patients with Alzheimer's. My dad is in the section where he has his own room. He's very independent. They come in once a week to clean his little room and change his sheets and towels. For an additional fee, you can have them do your laundry. They have a very nice cafeteria with three meals a day. They also have an alternative menu they can order from. They can play games and bridge, go to a gym and a library, and go out on outings. It's a very clean place. The staff is very caring, and his doctor couldn't be more caring and more compassionate. They know the residents' names. They try to remember the things they like and don't like. He's very happy there. The food is very good. They have a variety, and it's very healthy. It's a little older than some of the other places, but it's very clean and they keep the area looking nice and presentable. They take great care of the residents' rooms. It's a little pricey, but it is such a great facility. It's conveniently right across the street from the Coronado Hospital and the building where many of the doctors are located. It's also across the street from Tidelands Park, which overlooks the bay and the bridge, so they have a beautiful view of the bay.

My Mom spent her last days in the Coronado Retirement Village. The owners and staff were extremely kind and helpful. They went out of their way to treat her with dignity and warmth. The facilty was clean and pleasant. The food was excellent. The nursing staff was highly professional. The care givers were as kind as could be. All in all, this was a beautiful home for my Mom's final days. Her loving son, Michael

I did visit Coronado Retirement Village and it was awful. It smelled bad, was a small facility, and reminded me more of a nursing home; it was not inviting. I did not like anything about it. The room itself was OK, if you went to the highest priced room. It was fairly a good size. Still, the general impression was we did not like the look and the feel of it.

I already found a great place, and my parents were all set up at Coronado Retirement. The facility and the staff were very good, and we are very happy. I think the food is the only problem. They have exercises, music, movies and they are remodeling the patio right now. It is safe, quiet, and very beautiful.

Coronado Retirement Village was really nice and beautiful. The dining area was gorgeous, and the food smelled wonderful. They had a nice library. They had activities that were really awesome. They take the elderly on trips. They do shopping and dining out. I think it would have been perfect for my mother-in-law. There was a beautiful view of the bridge.

Coronado Retirement Village is a very nice community. It’s very inviting, and it's absolutely clean. The people were very nice. I like the area that the facility is in. It's a nice part of Coronado, but their rooms aren’t big enough for two people, so it would not fit my parents' needs.

Coronado Retirement is close to my house and seemed nice. They spent a lot of time showing me around. But it's somewhat institutionalized. There was a resident there who took me aside and said, "Listen, if there's any way you can keep your mom at home, I've been here 10 years, I'm OK being here, but if there's any way you can keep your mom home, you should do that." She looked very well cared for, and everybody looked clean. But I think the bottom line is that if you can keep your parents at home, that's what you need to do. The place looked a little run-down. It needs work. I saw an activity calendar, and they had a lot of stuff.

We’ve been living around a week in Coronado Retirement Village. It’s right across the street from the hospital. It’s very suitable, comfortable, quiet, reasonable and attractive. The rooms are very nice. The dining room is fine. They have activities but we don’t participate. The workers are polite and amenable.

Coronado Retirement Village is a very good place, but very expensive. I cannot afford it. The staff looked very friendly and very accommodating when I had my visit there. They have a big entertainment area and have some entertainers come in to play music. They also take their seniors for a drive and go to different places here in San Diego. They also have games like cards and bingo.

Coronado Retirement Village seemed like a very nice community for my mother. Everything looked spacious, nice and clean. It was in a location by the water. There also was a park across the street and a nice promenade. Inside, they have a nice, spacious and well-equipped dining room. Their staff also were helpful and seemed friendly.

My Aunt stayed here at this place till the end. She lived there for 6yrs, and loved it a lot. They have a well trained staff, and the family setting with love is amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone.
