I found West Hills for mother. The care is phenomenal, the food is not good, but the people are great. The rooms are immaculate, and the dining area is fabulous. They have outings, Bingo, music, and movies. They could not be any better. The only issue I have is that the food is horrific.

You can never reach anyone by phone. Forwards to a busy signal. My loved one was left in bed all day except for 10 minutes. They were supposed to be in physical therapy rehab. They went downhill in this place. They are doing much better after leaving. My loved one was recovering from a lung infection. These guys smoked outside her door constantly and it seemed into the room.

Our experience with this facility was one week stay in January 2020. Unfortunately this care home is not set up well to provide post surgical care. The initial room my friend was put into was dirty and smelled of urine and feces. He was moved to a better room after requesting it. A post op of major surgery and was left to basically fend for himself. The dispensing of the medications was not on the proper schedule and he experienced way too much pain being just a couple days out. The bathroom access was blocked with toilet adaptor railings in the bathroom were stacked in the bathroom. My friend had to remove them himself to get into the bathroom. The food was not good. On the positive side.... The staff was friendly. If you have an advocate with you changes are you will be better off. If you are incapacitated i guess you wont notice the environment. Parts of the nursing home smelled so bad when just walking down the hallway. We would not recommend this facility for post surgical recovery. It seems pretty standard for a nursing home. Lots of rooms to spend time in sunny windows. They gave a party for the residents who looked happy and ate cake. The older people who lived there seemed to be taken care of. Again this facility is not good for post surgery for a younger adult with a working mental capacity.

Please don't use this facility lousy care they hardly speak English. They cater to the Hispanic patients The food was lousy not adequate care at all.a note to care facilities when you have an English-speaking patient you need to have the staff to accommodate them as well.

West Hills Health & Rehab Center was clean. Some of the staff was fine, and some was not. Some were very attentive and some were not. The grounds were OK. I would recommend them to other. They could improve on the attentiveness of the staff to the patients.

Find another Rehab facility for your loved one. This one is Understaffed and Mismanaged. Doctors don't respond well or at all and the Food is terrible and not served timely. Not enough staff to give safe care to the patients Bed sores , colds go unchecked. Injuries not reported. Limited therapy Proper care not taken transferring patients from bed to wheelchair.

With gratitude and with much appreciation, I would like to thank West Hills Rehab for their excellent care and truly thank the therapists for the amazing therapy they provided to help me learn how to transfer and be able to take care of some of my needs during the time when my foot is fusing after surgery. Ma Arlyn, PT was extremely helpful, hardworking and caring and made sure to meet all my deeds at all times.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their cna staff is the most friendly, welcoming staff I've ever dealt with. They are so warm and professional, and make the whole experience that much better. I was so impressed with the progress I was able to make after visiting them. All my questions were answered, but my moms charge nurse seemed not too care as much as her cna, would have preferred someone else.

My father was diagnosed with lung cancer that eventually spread to his brain, after my family could no longer care for him we were advised to seek the assistance of a nursing home, we choose this one based on the proximity to home so that we could visit regularly. My mother and I visited on a daily basis, and found that we took care of my father's hygiene needs (shaving, washing his face, etc.) when we would visit because it did not seem that any of the staff was taking care of my father. They were relatively nice, did give him his medications and food, but did not seem to have much warmth to them. The worst incident was when my father requested assistance to use the restroom throughout the morning, when I came to visit after work there was a pool of urine on the floor, and my father stated no one would help him out of bed and he could not hold it any longer.
