| Serving the Health Insurance Needs of Everyone (SHINE) | (800) 243-4636 | SHINE is a program managed by the Executive Office of Elder Affairs free of charge to seniors who are already Medicare beneficiaries and those who need assistance with enrolling. Counselors can help seniors understand their current coverage. They can also provide seniors with information and advice so they can make informed decisions to overcome possible shortfalls. Additionally, counselors may introduce seniors to health care options that can save them money on their insurance. Although this might include private health insurance, the counselors won’t try to sell products. |
