My parents have moved into Providence Assisted Living of Searcy. The staff is good to them. They're very helpful. I like that they have two meals that they get there. There are plenty of community events for them to be involved with. There's like board games where they get together and play board games. That's the only thing I can think of right off the top of my head, but there are several of them. There's no swimming pool but there is a salon. They have ice cream socials fairly often. They have a soda fountain machine in there that they fire up once a month or so. As far as TV, they have DirectTV in all the rooms, so they have cable, and they can watch whatever they want to watch. There's an exercise room that has a couple of exercise bikes in it that is accessible. I've had a meal with my parents. It's very straightforward. They bring your meal out to your table and there are always different things to eat, and you can have a salad if you want. The dining area is a room with tables in it. It's pretty spacious. There's plenty of room if you need to move tables around. I don't have any criticisms of the place. I think they're doing a good job, and I appreciate that my parents are able to be there.

I chose Providence Assisted Living of Searcy for my husband. It is close. Everybody that has been in that facility that I know is very happy. The staff taking care of them seems their goal is to please the people and give them the best care they can. They don't have a nurse on duty 24 hours. The staff could answer every question I asked without hesitation. It is a great facility, and from what I saw, it's excellent. I didn't see anything I didn't like about the facility. They do have a salon available. I liked that they had an outdoor area for memory care. So people weren't confined just to the inside of the building.

We went to the Providence Assisted Living of Searcy. One of the things we really liked about it was some of the apartments had their own little back porch. The rooms that we got to see had just been vacated, so they hadn't been cleaned yet. It was OK. The staff was very sweet, very helpful. We didn't fall in love with the place, and we should have gone when the rooms were ready to be viewed, because it was not very clean. They were good sized. They had a little gym area and a beauty shop. It's just one level. It does not have a balcony, just a little patio where you can put some tables and plants.

I was extremely pleased with Providence Assisted Living Searcy, but my mother-in-law wasn't so she went back home. It was in the middle of COVID and they were not using the dining area, but it was really nice. The rooms were also nice and we were pleased. The staff was very nice, I had no complaints. They didn't have activities at the time because it was in the middle of COVID, so the residents were not going out of their rooms to mingle. The overall living atmosphere is excellent, the place itself was very nice and well-kept.

We will be moving into Providence Assisted Living in February. The rooms were big. It was clean looking. We live here in Searcy, so it's convenient. They offer several things, like to clean the apartment and do the laundry, and they have an activity director that plans activities for every day. The food appeared to be good. I looked at the menu that they had for a week, and they had three meals a day and two snacks. The staff was helpful and friendly. They had nursing as well. It's a very nice facility.

I visited River Oaks Village Assisted Living (Providence Assisted Living) in Searcy. They opened up an Alzheimer's memory unit recently. It looked beautiful, and it was $4600 a month. I was in caregiving before, and it was better than any facility I had ever worked in. It's within a secured area. The room had a common area with a kitchen and two bedrooms, and one bedroom was 20x14. It had a bath with a seat in it, etc. It was very nice and very comfortable looking, but my father would be sharing a room with another man there. It also had a big screen TV, a couch, and a chair. They involve everyone -- even in the memory unit -- in every activity. In fact, they were having a luau, and each Alzheimer's or memory care patient has an individual caregiver that is there in and out every hour constantly. They take them down, they have games, and they play. The have a 24-hour nurse there also.

My mom moved in to River Oaks Village. It's a very, very nice facility. It's clean and smells good. It's like that they have good help. It didn't have a depressing atmosphere and they are very reasonable.
