I like that Sunshine Manor has on-staff nurses, and they dispense the medicines. And I like that they will take them to doctor's appointments, they fix all their meals, and they do their laundry. My parents will have a shower in their room, but they do have a place if the tenants need assistance like my aunt who doesn't have a shower in her room; they schedule some of the people during the day, and they have workers who actually take them in to have a shower and they would be there to help them if they needed someone. The sanitation was good, and the rooms were small, but they were clean. So my parents have two rooms like they can have a living room and a bedroom, then they have a bath with a shower and a little area where they can put a refrigerator, but there is no kitchen. It is just a place where you can put the refrigerator underneath, and there was a little cabinet top over it in case you wanted to have snacks and a place to make a sandwich or stuff like that.

My mother has been a resident here for 4 years. I don't believe the owners or workers could be anymore caring than they already are now. There has been a few problems over the years but every issue has been resolved quickly. They treat the residence there like family. They make the visitors feel so welcome and a part of the big family they have there. I feel the workers think of what they do as more than just a job and this really shows. The way they let you eat with your loved one is so special. plus the food has always been so good. I would say restaurant quality. I feel so blessed we found this place for our mom when we could no longer give her the care she needed.

We've found over the years that Sunshine Manor is a really good facility. My mother has been there for about five years now. They do a good job taking care of their people. They know all the people, they care for their residents, and they do everything. The accommodations just met my mom's needs. She was able to get a room with its own bathroom, and also it had a good-sized closet. The price was pretty reasonable. We were happy with that. The food is good. I eat lunch and supper with my mom, and I'm pleased with their meals. I would give them a good rating for their meals. I would recommend it to anybody who is looking for an assisted living in that area.

My great-grandmother was at this assisted living home until she had to be placed in a nursing home. It is very clean, welcoming and the staff go out of their way to make the transition as easy as possible. They make sure to have daily activities, parties at holidays and provide social interaction that helper her until the dementia took over. They worked with her on motor skills and always greeted her and us visiting family by name which is a very nice touch when handing your loved one over to their care. M great grandmother was blessed for being able to live the two years here that she did. We can definatly see a sharp decline in her since she had to go to a nursing home. But will forever have the happy memories sunshine manor gave to us i the last of her years out of the dementia darkness.
