We chose The Meadows Independent and Assisted Living Community for my sister because it fit our budget, and we thought it was very nice. So, we went ahead and took it. She seems to be adjusting quite well. Everybody that works there is more than willing to help and they are very nice. They just made it very easy on us. They have a beauty salon, church, movie nights, a 24/7 snack bar, and laundry. My sister has a very nice apartment. It's just the right size for her. We moved in her furniture and got her all set up nicely. She's very happy with where she is.

My father will be moving into The Meadows Independent and Assisted Living Community. They're a family-owned facility and not corporate-owned, and they allow smoking on the property, which is really important to my dad. Everybody that I've met there is very kind and just willing to work with the family. The rooms were a little bit older, but still, everything's really clean and nice and big-sized, too. They've got a game room with pool and all sorts of puzzles and whatnot. There's a theater room and a chapel.

My father was at The Meadows Independent & Assisted Living Community. I felt like they provided a level of balanced independent living that I would have expected. The staff was caring and engaged. Dad's room was wholly adequate, but it could probably have used some updating. Overall, it provided exactly what he needed. He had a full-sized kitchen and I thought the space and the layout were adequate. The demographics skewed to the older side compared to my father, which made it more depressing. The atmosphere was dated, darker, and more traditional. I would say that it was not energetic and it lacked some good vibes. I know they did bingo, exercise sessions, games, and puzzles. They had a pool table and a library with quite a bit of material. A couple of times a year, they would have a festival or family day where the families could bring in the grandkids. I think they could increase the variety in the activities like doing field trips and taking the residents out more often and getting them out of the facility a little bit. I also think they could use a little updating on the designs and furniture.

My sister is a resident of The Meadows Independent and Assisted Living Community. It's a family-oriented place with really nice people who care about their people. I was lucky to get my sister there when I did. She has a nice, single room that's spacious and just what she needed. It's a new community, only a few years old. It's all top-rated, and they only have the assisted living for now but it's top notch.

I had a good visit to The Meadows. They're friendly, and they gave us a good tour. It was very quiet, we didn't see a lot of the residents up and about, but it was clean. However, the location of the apartment would not accommodate our mom. The staff was very friendly, very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and followed up if we had additional questions.

We placed Marilyn at The Meadows, and it’s very good. They are very caring; it’s a family-owned facility that bends over backwards to try to meet the expectations of the residents. The food is very good.

My wife has been in The Meadows for 3 months. The staff as a whole is outstanding. The area is very nice. The place itself is really good. They only have 10 patients in the memory center, and they have 2 CNAs for the in-patients. Each patient has her own bedroom and bathroom with a vanity in it. Outside, there’s another vanity and a chest of drawers. There is a bed and a closet, and it’s furnished nicely. There is a large walking area inside as well as a nice outdoor walking area. The food always smells delicious. I tasted a little bit that my wife had, and it has been really good. They have a varied menu. I checked several other places, and this, to me, was the best; that’s why she’s here.

I thought The Meadows Independent and Assisted Living Community was really nice. The facility seemed very nice. My mom liked it and I thought she would consider it at one point in time if she got to that stage. We saw a couple of rooms that were empty. The staff also showed us a room that was occupied to give us a feel of what it would look like with furnishings. The people that we ran into seemed happy to be there. The people running the facility seemed to be cheerful and upbeat.

I found The Meadows for my father, and he would be moving in on the 12th. Right now, they were awesome. The apartments looked very good. They were very clean, very well kept up. They had a good staff. The dining room was clean. This was more of an independent thing, and they had cards and stuff like that when they got together with them. Mostly, they had their own weekend things that they had gatherings for. They had a clubhouse there, which was primarily for games and entertainment. They had different stuff all the time.

This facility is only 5 years old. The staff is very friendly and knows the individuals by name. The only concern I had about the alzheimer's unit was how "dark" this area seemed. The inside colors were dark colors, dark wood trim which emphasized a closed in feeling for me. Lighter colors and more outside and inside light would make this area seem more inviting.
