I have been a patient here at Haven of Tucson for 2+weeks. The care provided to me has been excellent. My nurses and CNAs are very caring and professional. Linda W. Has been my rock. She is always aware of my anxiety and makes sure I feel safe. My nurses Amy, Rose and Stephanie never missed my level of need and responded with kindness and compassion. I couldn’t have asked for better.

PLEASE DO NOT PLACE YOUR FAMILY HERE: My father was placed at the Haven Health Tucson to Participate in physical therapy to prepare his body for radiation treatments because he has cancer. He arrived communicating, in good spirits and with decent mobility. He left today near death as he was transported to the hospital. He was only placed at the Haven for physical therapy. However, once he was unable to participate in physical therapy, our family should have been notified so that we could have move him to a suitable assisted living facility. Instead they would not return calls for updates and kept my father in a skilled nursing bed so that they could bill Medicare for physical therapy he was not participating in. Meanwhile, they are not giving him proper care and he is getting sicker. The social worker Denise NEVER RESPONDS to messages unless you threaten to file a complaint with the Ombudsman. The Director of Nursing, also does not respond to messages unless you threaten to call 911 to their facility. Staff do not know how to care for terminally sick patients, which is why we should have been notified when he was no longer receiving a benefit from their facility. My dad is not a pawn to be used for Medicare payments. One of their doctors is involved in a lawsuit (the doctor told me this) and a lot of their staff is incompetent.

The Haven of Tucson is a wonderful place to recover in . What makes it a good place to come, the people. I’ll just name a few that are outstanding. First off is Lizeth, then there’s Michael, always helping. The rooms are average, could use some updating. You really can’t go wrong by staying here.

Coming here was one of the most special places i could have came, I was on my death bed with sepsis, nurse aids and nurses jump to my assistants. Been here for about a month, beds are clean, room was cleaned everyday meals were served on time. Iv and mess were on time. Would recommend haven of Tucson to my friends and family. Edgar Maria and Marisol are amazing nurses, aids such as Marissa are just amazing about my care. Therapy is working hard and good. We have to work together to get things done and haven has good team effort.

I hope the care staff is more professional and caring than who ever answered the phone when I was transferred to admissions. They did not identify themselves or their office when they answered, assumed I had the wrong number, were very short and rude in fact did not even allow me to stop speaking before answering questions. I am relieved this place does not fit what my mother needs if this is how their staff treats possible clients.

It was a particular pleasure to have the services from this well-trained staff. All the personal I came in contact with had a smile behind their masks. The nursing staff and CNA's always acted as if your the only patient they were charged with. My only complaint was the kitchen the food was terrible. Everyone was warm and caring. My room was private and large with a door to an outdoor patio; because of Covid could not go out. There were no group activities and all therapy took place in my room, again the Covid kept me in my room.

The nursing staff and management staff is terrible. They refused to acknowledge any request for information, were rude, hung up on me 2 times, asked me to prove who I was, and even when I did they did not respond favorably. I was traumatized. All I wanted was to know if someone's condition was better or worse. I can only hope they treated my relative better. During this time of the COVID-19 epidemic friendliness really means a lot to people. They were so hostile that I'm actually afraid to call and ask how my relative is. I'm actually afraid to put too much personal information down for fear that they will treat her badly as a result.

I had a stroke. I was transferred here from the hospital. I was super impressed as it is a super clean place. Everything is is perfect order with the interior, exterior. Kept exceptionally clean. The people and nurses are very respectful. I have been in other rehabs and they were awful in every respect. No one listened to me and the food was awful! Real food here nothing from a can. I am here to work on getting myself back to normal which is go, go , go. I have a private room, and every room has a big tv in it. That was the biggest surprise.

Im in Haven of Tucson. I liked the first floor best, I was given physical therapy, call buttons were responded to within ten minutes, and I was well taken care of. However, downstairs was totally different from upstairs. Sometimes I have to wait five hours to get a response to my call button, other times four and a half hours, and on average about an hour at least. I would give the staff upstairs a four and downstairs a star. Theres not very much salt in the food. The place is very clean, and housekeeping comes in once a day. They have an exercise room, a game room, and a dining room. I like the gym.

Mom at skilled nursing staff is new and changed often. Social worker, pt, ot and nurses are friendly but not very helpful, or diligent with work. Example medication, always needed to check if correct. Medical equipment ordered incorrectly and no call back after 7 calls, to correct error. Discharge orders sent to wrong home health agency and not all pages attached took 8 days to correct. Physical therapy is once a day but not reinforced by other (nurses and techs) staff, recovery is slow due to this.

DO NOT LET ANYONE YOU CARE ABOUT GO HERE!! I went here for rehab after knee replacement surgery. The lobby looks nice, but they do not have adequate rehab supplies. (Only 1walker in the place, and no bedside toilet for my roommate with a broken hip. The staff was inexperienced and rude. I checked out 12 hours after checking in.

The care for my brother got worse as his condition deteriorated. From the beginning people were not reliable. The staff did not got my brother out of bed when he had incontinence.. The tech actually encouraged him to stay in bed because they were short staffed and it was too difficult to get two people to assist him. He got a bad skin wound because he wasn't turned or gotten out of bed. Medication was given inconsistently. The discharge procedures were awful. I had them print me a current medication list. There were medications on the list that he had stopped taking, and other medications that he wasn't given consistently. This inaccurate medication list caused such confusion for the nurses at the care giving company I hired who took care of him after he left Manor Care. The social worker/case manager was amiable but totally ineffective and unreliable. He said that they were going to put my brother on a scheduled, every two hour program to try to improve his incontinence situation, and that never happened. Trying to communicate by phone early morning (say 7 to 8 am or later), early to late evening (say 7 pm or later), and other times during the day was often a waste of time. If I was lucky and someone picked up the phone, the front desk person would repeatedly be unable to connect me with the staff person I was attempting to reach. Overall, it was an awful experience. Thankfully, there were a couple nurses that really cared and tried to be helpful, but unreliability was pervasive. Two more items, the food was worse than what my brother was served at St. Joseph Hospital! And they consistently lost his laundry, some never to be returned! My brother stayed there for six weeks!

When my mom fell at the assisted living home that she was in, she had a pelvic fracture and ended up at the hospital. When she was discharged, her doctor referred her to ManorCare Health Services because she was going to need physical therapy. My mom was there for only 20 days. It was a lot different than an assisted living facility, it was more gloomy because it was a nursing home. The place, the staff and the room were all mediocre. The rooms were okay and the space was very basic, nothing fancy. Their nursing staff also were very friendly. However, the food wasn't good, actually, it was really bad.

I had my mother in law at ManorCare twice. First for a stroke recovery and then again for hip surgery recovery. The staff there treated her like a real VIP. WE are very satisfied with the care and teh responsiveness of all of the staff and the management. They are true compassionate professionals that take their calling very seriously.

I feel like there are many negative images of nursing homes and assisted living facilities. However, I thought that Manor Care was very nice. They had a receptionist that greeted us as soon as we walked in, and ask how she could help us. When we received the tour I though it was a very nice touch that every staff member we passed by smiled and said hello. The residents in the facility looked active, and well taken care of, and there were no strong odors (something that I specifically looked for) in the facility. The building did appear to be a little old (I do not recall when they said it was built), however, it was clean, and seemed very well maintained. The facility offered a nice activities program, and the menu also seemed like something my grandparents would like. I really appreciated how the staff focused on talking to my grandparents more so then me. I think that shows a high level of respect and professionalism. We did look at one other facility, but no longer even remember the name of it. Overall I was impressed with Manor Care.

I visit this facility on a regular basis as a hospice volunteer. My dog (which is a certified therapy dog) and I visit with assigned patients and also with anyone else who wants a visit with a dog.I have been impressed with the cleanliness and "good" smell of this facility. Unlike many, there is no odor of excessive sanitation materials nor ill and aging bodies. It is just a pleasant, clean smell. The caregivers all seem friendly and concerned about the residents. They always ask me to make sure the dog and I visit everyone who would enjoy us or needs some cheering up. As we walk through the halls, the dog and I are greeted by name and pointed out to the residents in the hallway to draw attention to us. The caregivers appear to want to make sure that even those residents who interact very little are alerted to some thing interesting in the environment. When we are there during mealtime the food looks excellent. The appearance and smell of the food makes me wish that I could share a meal with them. Of course, some of the residents want to share their food with the dog and I have to watch that they don't do so. There are well lighted and attractive dining rooms on both floors of the facility and the residents are encouraged to eat in them rather than in their rooms. The caregivers try to make sure that all of the residents interact as much as they are able. The grounds are well groomed and there is an enclosed area that the residents are able to use with little or no supervision if they choose. The facility as a whole is well kept up and the furnishings in the common areas are homelike, not industrial fake leather as in some others. Even the lobby entrance and waiting room are nicely decorated with ante-rooms off from the main area so that visitors can meet with residents without coping with either a hospital setting or strangers wandering past. I would recommend this facility to anyone who needed wither long or short term care.
