My mom is now at BeeHive Homes of Sierra Vista. We chose this facility because I liked the way it was rated, I liked the way it was set up, and because the staff is very, very caring. My mom's room is very neat and very clean. The whole facility is very well kept. My mom loves the food.

BeeHive Homes of Sierra Vista was OK. The staff seems nice, it's a smaller community, and a different kind of place. It's more for people that are not quite ready for hospice, but real close. I thought the staff members were pretty good. They had rooms with a hospital bed, and they're kind of depressing. Pretty much everyone eats on their own. They don't really have a dining center because most of their residents aren't mobile enough to make it into the dining room. My impression is that it's not up to the caliber of my mother's current community. Their facilities are so-so and kind of mediocre; I wasn't super impressed. They don't really have a lot of amenities. They're more focused on the residents who need a lot of assistance, and they're more like caretakers.

I visited this home. I choose to have my mother move in here. The manager was wonderful and so was her nurse. The staff were friendly. Rooms were nice. Carpet was a little dirty but other than that it was a very nice place. I loved that it is a locked facility and they have the outside patio to sit at. I believe my mom will be very happy here and well taken care of. Residents seemed happy.

BeeHive Homes of Sierra Vista was very small and sort of out of the way. It was tucked into a very rural area. They did not have anything at all except an auto repair place down the street, and that was about it as far as neighbors go. We did not get to see the rooms because they were all occupied. They had a little courtyard you could go sit in, but it wasn't much. The lady said they only have room for 16. I did not get much information from the staff. There were a couple of ladies watching television, and one said, "Don't come here, there's nothing to do." The staff looked limited; it did not look like there were many people on staff. They had an extremely small kitchen, there were not many places for people to sit, eat, or socialize, and it didn't seem like they take very good care of the food. It was not very clean.

If we could give zero stars we would. Very few of the care givers are good starting with the nurse supervisor Stephanie. Wouldn't manage bad behavior of caregivers and was apathetic when asked to deal with anything of concern. After several visits we never witnessed any activities in progress. All residents were zombies, almost as if drugged. It was like walking into a morgue. On one visit we couldn't get into the facility and we rang the door bell for 15 minutes. We finally remembered the code and found the only two care givers outside smoking about 15 ft from the back door. No one was in the facility and the residents were left alone. Other things occurred that will be reported to the state of AZ. There were some care givers that are really good but they can't do everything. We pulled our relative out within a few weeks of the smoking incident and have noticed a huge improvement in their demeanor. I wish we could have had a test to make sure there wasn't any drugs in their system that shouldn't have been. Beware, the place looks good from the outside and they make sure they have activities on the days someone visits for possible intake. Over all not a good place for your loved one until management changes.

BeeHive Homes of Sierra Vista was nice and clean but small and single-story. They're very limited as far as how many people they could take, but overall, it was a nice facility. It was roomy enough for the people, and they have a higher level of care, which is one of the things I was looking for. It had a friendly, homey atmosphere. They had a schedule of things to do, and they'd go places and had a nice outdoor area. They had a van or a small bus.

BeeHive Homes of Sierra Vista was a fine but smaller community. Everything there was fine. The common room seemed very well-equipped and the library was very nice and neat. It's very nice and well-staffed. The staff was great.

It's a smaller place, very secure, very clean rooms, and fairly new. No bad smell. The people there can keep an eye on what everybody is doing. They all have their private rooms, but they check on them regularly. When I talked to the lady, it seemed like they were set up more for Alzheimer's and dementia. Everything was very centrally located and easy to find. Beehive seemed to be more for someone that really has severe needs medically or mentally.
