I've beena resident here at encanto palms for 4 years. when i first got to encanto i was a lost cause and on lots of meds now i am proud to say i am a changed person in many ways. I thank the staff for that if they would of never directed me in the right direction and cared and love me like they do i would never have gotten off the meds and i serious think i wouldn't be alive. But here i am today a better person.you know the staff here understand you, they help you with things you can't do for yourself and encourge you to do the things you can.i am saying these things because people and places like this should be reconized for the things they do.families can't always be there and the staff at encanto palms do their best to make you feel happy and comfortable.all i have to say is thanks encanto palms.lol.. i i've lived at encanto palms for 4 ears and i will probably be here for many more.when i first got to encanto i was on a lot of medication and had a bad attitude and because of the staff here i am a totally different person and not on all that medication. The staff here are caring people and I would suggest encanto palms to everyone that needs people that care and take you for who you are.i

About Encanto Palms Assisted Living in Phoenix, Arizona
Encanto Palms Behavioral Health Assisted Living facility provides a continuum of care for individuals that require low to moderate support for their mental health needs as well as a dementia memory care unit. With 3 separate units, Encanto Palms is equipped to handle residents who need a secured setting for added safety and security to prevent wandering or elopement type behaviors. Psychiatric and Medical providers come to the facility on a weekly basis to manage and evaluate residents on a consistent basis. The staff is also supported by a Behavioral Health Clinical Director to provide individualized care plans and interventions and trainings specific to each resident.
The Mirage Unit is designed for residents with a combination of dementia and a psychiatric diagnosis. Caregivers are trained in handling the behaviors and symptoms that accompany such diagnosis such as: wandering, pacing, refusing or combativeness with care, verbally abusive, or difficulty with redirection. The Sahara Unit is intended for residents with a psychiatric diagnosis that require a secured setting and added behavioral health care. These residents may present as elopement or AWOL risk, verbal abuse, make repetitive statements or behaviors, non-compliance with care and other moderate behaviors. The third unit is named Oasis which is unique because it is an unsecured behaviorally supported unit. These residents are not elopement risks but may still present with similar symptoms as the Sahara unit.

My Father has been in and out of a variety of assisted living facilities over the past 8 to 10 years. At each location, there were issues with the treatment and care of his dementia, leading to him moving to a secure/hospital facility to update and correct his medication and treatment. Since arriving at Encanto Palms, he has continuously progressed due to the knowledgable and caring staff. Their communication and involvement with me (I live on the East Coast) has been exceptional, and eased this difficult situation. The care providers at Encanto Palms have earned my trust, and I'm thankful of the care that they provide my Father.

Encanto palms assisted living has been a great facility for my father who has now been there at the facility for almost 2 years now. I had to transfer my father from Yuma Arizona to phoenix due to his dementia and behavior problems. It's really disappointing when a town of 100,000+ has no facilities that would tolerate his dementia with behavior problems. My father was in and out of 4 different facities in one year before ending up at encanto palms, so I am really happy with this facility and staff that is willing to help stabilize my dad with little medication and using other types of redirecting skills. I want to express how one staff member goes out of his way to call my mother at least twice a week to give updates to my mom. So I am very satisfied with this facility.
