My husband is staying at Acacia Health Center at Sagewood. They're pretty attentive to him; the food is decent, it's very clean, and in a nice area. Those are the main things I like about it. The rooms are clean, well furnished, and bright; he's got three big windows. I haven't tasted the food, but he says it's pretty good. He's on Medicare, so I don't even know what the costs are, but I know it's very expensive if we had to pay out of pocket. The staff is excellent, I would say 95 percent of them go above and beyond.

My mom was in Acacia Health Center at Sagewood a while back and it's just my dad now. It's phenomenal and the care is extraordinary. It's a great facility. I did not step inside because of COVID. The last time when I stepped inside, with my mom, it was great and very clean. It did not have the feel of a typical nursing home. Phenomenal service. Again, my dad was in with COVID. They didn't really do any activities. He was in there because of rehab. He was gone from the hospital and they were just trying to get him back. He had pneumonia and they were trying to get him back to walking. He had PT and occupational therapy; I think that's all he had there, but he was in the recovering mode to be able to come home. My mom loved the food when she was there. She thought it was fantastic; they had a cook, and they had a dining room. When my dad was there, because of COVID, they just got brought it through to the rooms. He didn't love it, but he's also kind of picky. He liked the desert, but didnt like the food that well. They had certain days where they had a Kentucky Derby day and they brought each patient something like non-alcoholic mint julep type things, cold drinks. They did do that, which I really appreciated considering the situation.

A lot of people were working in Acacia Health Center at Sagewood, so they were attentive to the needs during the day. In the evening, they seemed to basically assume that all the patients were going to go to sleep, and they sort of left them alone. It's pretty clean and well kept. My mother was in the nursing side, and they had physical therapy.
