My mother came to Wellsprings after a hospitalization. While the hospital was never able to identify what caused her incredible pain. This Hospitalization and her recovery at Wellsprings was a pivot point in her care. When she left the hospital she could/would barely move. The 2nd day at Wellsprings and the staff had her up and walking a few steps. The support and encouragement was absolutely perfect for mother. While being firm with their requests they always "LISTENED" to what she was telling them. On many occasions I witnessed the aids use a distraction method of Singing to her that not only showed their love and caring side, but also showed that they knew what they were doing. This worked nearly every time to divert her attention away from her pain or insistence that "She couldn't" to showing her that she could. If anyone wants a true understanding of the dedication of our Healthcare workers, I would say to stay a day in this facility and you will understand that they do it for the love, not for the money. I will end by saying that mother was at Wellsprings over Thanksgiving and we ate our Holiday dinner with her there. I believe that EVERY staff member including the leadership was there on the Holiday. It was one of the BEST meals I have every eaten. Kudos to a fantastic facility.

I am in the minority, but! My husband transferred here from a hospital. He was on so much med that he was pretty much a vegetable, couldn't even wake up, much less participate in PT. Since this is a facility that must show constant PT progress and cannot wake a patient up first, this was a highly inappropriate placement! He stayed there 27 days. He left with a life threatening kidney infection, a massive bedsore that has so far required 3 surgeries and is keeping him from getting the therapy he needs to come home. he has C diff, his neck, waist, hips and knees are contracted. (that started there but other facilities did nothing to address it) He has a feeding tube to insure that he gets enough nutrition to heal the sore. All he had was seizures and over reaction to seizure meds. Because of his lack of appropriate care at Wellsprings, he will be using up all of his medicare days long before he is ready to come home. Wellsprings used 27 days that we could have used for a more appropriate facility if they had not wanted the money. To top it all off, at the end of all this, they did everything in their power to get me to put him on hospice!

Wellsprings Therapy of Gilbert was awesome. It was brand new. It looked like a spa when you go in. They have a state-of-the-art rehab machine. They're awesome. The staff was awesome and very friendly. I went there for my mom. It was perfect. That's where I wanted my mom to go.
