I toured the Plantation Manor Retirement Community. The people were very nice and helpful. It was kind of a small facility. The only room available that they had was a three-person, and that was kind of a small room even to have three people, including dressers. They had their bedding, a little fire table, and a dresser drawer. They were doing some kind of rocks hanging from the garden. They had put the rocks together, and it was beautiful. Some of them made them look like marble. My husband and I went back the following weekend because they had a car show there. My husband had taken his car and they had a car show for the seniors. I was able to see in the garden all of the rocks that they had out there, and they had them lined up and shaped like stars. It was nice. Some of the seniors who were painting on these rocks were kind of handicapped or didn't have mobility in their hands. They had nurses who were helping them by holding the paintbrush, and I felt that was very nice and caring for them. The food was delicious.

My mom will be moving into Plantation Manor Retirement Community. It was very homey and well-kept. Everyone was happy. The room was very clean. The staff were very friendly. They were very interested in the residents and what they needed. They had bingo. Some residents were watching TV. The dining area was clean, but I didn't see people eating at that time. I met with the director and the other assistants. They were very friendly.

I looked at Plantation Manor and I didnt really like it. I didnt have any negatives about the staff, and the staff was nice. They have a lot of patients, and they have quite a few residents who stay in larger shared rooms, but they also have separate single rooms. It did not fit my needs though, so I didnt spend a lot of time there. The dining room was nice. Plantation Manor has another division thats independent living, and my mother-in-law stayed there for several years before she passed. It was really very nice.

My family member is currently at Plantation Manor Specialty Care Assisted Living. This facility is very caring and you can truly tell that the staff there love their residents! I visited a few months back, as I was looking for the perfect place for my mom, and I never went anywhere else...the atmosphere is so home-like and was just what my mom needed! The facility is a little older but they are constantly renovating, a new tin roof and a camera system was just installed within the last few weeks and per the Director they will be laying new flooring soon. Plantation Manor gets 5 stars from me!!!!

My mother is in Plantation Manor for six weeks. I don't have any complaints. It is close to my home and came highly recommended. I knew some people that worked there, and the price is cheaper.

My parent is there now. I am looking for another facility. There are so many problems here - though I'm not sure some of the problems wouldn't be the same at other facilities. The staff doesn't interact frequently with the residents. The residents are bored. They have very limited activities. There is no stimulation for the residents minds. There is no structure in the activities. Suspect theft, but that is rumored at every facility. Personnel are unresponsive - for the most part, their responses are "what I want to hear" and I don't feel very informed after any conversation with them.

Plantation Manor is truly beautiful. The people are so friendly and carding. All private rooms with private bath rooms. I would not take my mom anywhere else! Absolutely love it!! Best SCALF pricing in Birmingham

Visited this site looking for an assisted living facility for a parent. This place was like something out of a horror movie. Residents did not interact. Place was depressing & in great need of renovation, painting, etc. I would not even consider taking my parent there to even see the place. Run!
