Shanti Gardens is nestled at the edge of Chickenfoot Park in Levittown, Pennsylvania, right beside a shopping center with restaurants and a pharmacy. Levittown seniors can enjoy the outdoors in the area's many parks and green spaces, and Philadelphia is only a 30-minute drive away. The convenient location allows seniors to experience a slower paced, suburban lifestyle while maintaining quick access to the wealth of amenities found in a major urban center. This adult day care center is open during weekdays to provide intensive nursing and rehabilitative services to seniors with chronic health conditions. The staff can dispense medications and are well-trained in life saving measures, and physicians are on-call to care for residents' acute medical needs. The center features an ADA shower facility and offers assistance with personal grooming. Shanti Gardens also provides counseling and support services to families and caregivers, including workshops and seminars. Seniors at Shanti Gardens can choose to participate in various planned activities each day, such as crafts, bingo and ski ball. The facility serves a light breakfast, hot lunch and afternoon snack, while services from a visiting hairdresser can help residents feel pampered. Transportation is also available to bring seniors to and from the facility.
