Believing that affordable, accessible housing is essential to promoting a healthy lifestyle for seniors, Cabrini Housing Development Fund Corp. opened new housing for the low income elderly in Manhattan’s Gramercy Park area in the Fall of 2005. Cabrini of Westchester manages the building. The 70 one-bedroom apartments serve persons age 62 and older who meet income guidelines set by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Because of overwhelming demand, however, the application waiting list is closed. Any future application periods will be announced in this section of the web site.

Our highly qualified staff understands the importance of designing programs that will challenge our participants, enhance their lifestyle and maintain their highest level of independence while providing much needed respite for their loved ones. Daily activities include: discussion groups, music, art, exercise, current events, word games, entertainment, holiday celebrations and much more. A hot, nutritious meal is provided. Family support is offered to caregivers through our collaboration with Jewish Family Services of MetroWest. Days: Monday, Tuesday, Thursdays (register for 1, 2, or 3 days per week) Hours of Operation: 9:30am-3:30pm Cost: $70 per participant per day. Limited financial aid available.
