This social day care program meets 6 days a week and is designed to meet the special needs of older adults who are living with Alzheimer's disease and related forms of dementia. Our mission is to enhance the daily lives of our participants and to provide support and needed respite for their caregivers. Activities are held in a bright, spacious room with an adjoining patio and garden overlooking the children’s playground. The ARC program prides itself as being a home away from home for their participants. In a warm, supportive, family-like setting, attendees enjoy programs set up in a Montessori style, which focuses on using and strengthening a participant’s individual abilities and skills. ARC members take on various responsibilities during activities, which increase self-esteem and give each member increased control over their day. Aides and companions welcome. Scholarships available. Welcome to CenterLight Healthcare Pace Center! With this in mind, we are proud to introduce a new name for our Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) plan: CenterLight TeamCare. CenterLight TeamCare remains the exact same PACE plan that our participants have always enjoyed, but now with a reinvigorated and refocused theme: to provide "care as unique as you are." This new plan name symbolizes our renewed commitment to work as a team, with each other, our providers, community partners, our participants and their families to be able to help those we serve live their best lives.

ACT Care Group is located in Staten Island, New York, one of the five boroughs of New York City. It has a large community of more than 476,000 residents, and 16% are seniors over the age of 65. Locals have easy access to all the culture and attractions in nearby Manhattan, but closer to home, they can enjoy visits to Snug Harbor Cultural Center or the world-famous Staten Island Zoo. ACT Care Group is an adult day care facility that specializes in Alzheimer's disease and dementia care. Its goal is to help maintain seniors' health and to decrease the negative experience associated with dementia. It also allows caregivers to get a break so they can focus on their daily responsibilities or relieve stress. The ACT staff is fully trained on how to assist seniors with activities of daily living, such as dressing, grooming, and hygiene. ACT Care Group has a long list of daily activities that include critical thinking and discussion sessions, social events and pet therapy that strengthen the brain and reinforce positive behaviors. Round-trip transportation is available to all seniors in the program, and everyone is fed healthy meals from a menu that is overseen by a registered dietician.

Victorian Garden is a small, social day center located in a traditional, elegant setting which invites warmth, caring and dignity to all those who attend. A day center offers seniors with physical, emotional or cognitive impairments an opportunity to maintain or improve their level of functioning while continuing to remain at home in their community. Victorian Garden, opened in 1995 by the Flemming Family, continues the tradition of excellence with the following philosophy: Celebrating life in a compassionate and dignified manner. Believing that adults regardless of their impairment can benefit by participating in a community where they are accepted for who they are, and have opportunities to experience a sense of purpose and success"¦not pressured to be anyone they are not and encouraged to be everything they can be.
