The caregiver could have been more dependable. He ended up leaving her. He was gone for 2 hours and came back for a few minutes before his shift was over. He didn't even tell her he was leaving. He said he was going downstairs and just didn't' come back for 2 hours. The office told me he left the facility for 2 hours. I wasn't very happy with the caregiver. The staff in the office are wonderful, but we had some serious issues with the caregiver. I talked to them afterward ad told them that we're not using him ever again. There was another time I was going to use them and a gal was going to come, but she was only available in the afternoon, but that's when the client rests and naps, so there was no point in her coming, so that just didn't pan out either.

There is not a whole lot they can do for my loved one, but for me, I was not getting enough leeway when the caretaker couldn't make it. Direct contact has been a positive experience for me. I like the dependability and the management, although I don't think they are in the right place in some positions.
