Seniors Helping Seniors of the Hill Country

We're using Seniors Helping Seniors of the Hill Country. I think it's been a month and a half now. They help my mom with bathing, dressing, and light cleaning. So far, the caregivers are great. They're fabulous. They're caring and they do all kinds of things that we didn't expect, which is good. They clean all kinds of stuff that we weren't expecting them to clean, so the house is a lot cleaner. My mother is happier because there's somebody to talk to besides me. It's great. The scheduling is interesting. Sometimes they don't have somebody for the day I've selected, but we keep in touch, and we make sure everything is covered. We have a good communication path, and I'm pretty well aware of what's going to happen. Their billing is what I'm expecting. We pay them directly, and it's all good. And it's working, so long as there's enough money in the account.

Following a fall and surgery on my left wrist and left hand and a fractured pelvic, I had to use a wheelchair while in rehab and again when I got home. To assist in my recovery , I had one caregiver for 4 nights to help me adjust to needing help at home. I also used a caregiver 3 days a week, 4 hours each day. The caregivers helped me bathe, get dressed, and prepared meals for me. They were so helpful getting me to the point where I could care for myself. I appreciated everything they did for me.

I'm using Seniors Helping Seniors of the Hill Country. They're caring and professional, and they know how to deal with dementia. Right now, it's Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I chose them because of the price and hours/time. They remind my husband to get up and to shower.

I was provided with In home care after surgery. My caregiver cooked meals and helped with my schedule of keeping things on time such as medicine taking and eating. She also helped with transportation to and from appointments. She was very attentive and provided the care that I needed.
