They have helped the most by making sure she has food. I like the initial setup process where they took notes and made the information available online.

I had a wonderful experience with both my home physical therapist and home health nurse after a total knee replacement. They always stayed in touch if there was going to be a change to the schedule. They also were great advocates for me with my surgeon, who was not always attentive to my needs post-surgery. My nurse even brought me a healthy meal! They were both so kind and helpful and encouraging. I’ll definitely call them again when I have to do the other knee.

Provide more consistent care, 1 or 2 caregivers so we don't have to start from zero every time. I'm not sure if they can do anything about it but the shortage of caregivers is frustrating.

I'm still trying to do the things they taught me. When they started I could barely walk. Now I'm using a cane. The physical therapy they send is amazing. They're on time and respectful.

I thought that they were good overall, but when they were done with my case, they constantly called me. I had two different nurses with them, and the second wasn't very professional. She had a more relaxed attitude, took of her mask, and didn't show up on time.

They have helped me the most by trying to get the wound that I have had for 3 years healed and taken care of. They also try different things if it isn't working. I like that they are punctual, are very nice when they get here and are interested in how I am doing.

We have been happy with BrightStar Home Care Greater Austin. It's taken us a couple of caregivers to find the one we like, and the current caregiver we have we really like. And we were able to ask for her only and she's the only one we have, we were not able to do that for the other ones. We only have her 2 days a week. The caregivers really like their owner, they like who they work for, and they're very loyal to their company. They assist my mom and me with taking vital signs, and anything we need. The caregiver from BrightStar was very knowledgeable, she takes my temperature and makes sure I'm okay. She changes my sheets, and she's a worker. This is the third agency we've tried and we were not happy with the other ones. This one we like.

They can be consistent with who shows up. They can interact with us. We get different caregivers. I think some of them have been better than others. We aren't sure which ones will be here. We don't know what they will be doing each day.

My sister is using BrightStar Care Greater Austin. She is bedbound, so they get her up with a hoyer lift into her chair, they clean her colostomy bag, empty the catheter bag, tube feed her, and bathe her. She's full-care. The caregivers are doing a good job, and I'm very satisfied. We have them for 40 hours a week, so sometimes the caregiver can't make it, but they're very consistent in sending a replacement.

I didn't have to worry that my mom wouldn't eat dinner, and that someone was there to clean up her dinner and get her ready for bed. The agency was always willing to work with me when my mother didn't like a caregiver. They didn't make me feel bad for changing them.

If I could have the caregiver here every day, I would. It was a great help with my routine, and we'd go out walking and do all the steps. The caregiver was very friendly. They would talk about my injury. They'd tell me it's okay to just do what I can after the surgery.

There's not really much of an impact. It hasn't really changed my daily routine at all. If I'm being honest, the caregiver I've had has been a sweet caregiver, but when they care for me, they are not very gentle. I can usually tolerate it fine, but with the last one, it was difficult.

Knowing that someone is going to bet here to help if she needs it has been good. She fell yesterday and hit her head, and they weren't able to directly help us. One representative called back and gave us a bunch of good information and advice. They are a good company, but they seem to have trouble with consistency and sending the same caregiver.

They seem to care for me and are invested in my recovery process. They have made a dramatic impact on my life because I was barely able to do things for myself, except I still walk with a cane. The physical therapy process has helped me to be able to maneuver around my home and the occupational therapy has helped me to do things in alternative ways.

I would recommend BrightStar Care because they are always on time, reliable, knowledgeable, and if I have any questions, I can call them. They work well with me. If my loved one didn't have the services, we would have to go out and go to a facility. It's not easy for us to be able to do that. I have back problems, and so there's not a lot I can do to help my husband with his mobility.
