They help the most with daily life chores and picking things up at the pharmacy. They go to the grocery store to make sure there is food for them. I like that we have been with them a few years now, and each caregiver has been excellent. When I call with a concern, the management has been quick to get things done.

The things the caregivers do are not minor when they are here, they allow me to go the store and things. There is an elderly lady down the street who is in a similar situation to me, and I mentioned the company and a number to call.

They go to the grocery store for us, and they take my dad to the doctor all the time. That is a big positive help. They are great. They stay on top of things. They are always checking on my dad and the field supervisor comes by all the time. She is really nice.

The caregivers comes in and clean. If I'm having a bad day, they'll come in and clean the house. So far I've had excellent care. The management that I have met are very helpful with the care that I don't understand or need extra help with. They're very kind with that.

He was primarily getting physical therapy and we were extremely pleased with the therapist that was coming out, who was someone they contracted with. The nurse has been very cordial, and the care manager has been easy to work with. They have explained things to a level of my satisfaction.

My caregiver stays for two hours on Monday and Thursday. They charge for 4 hours, but I don't want to pay for 4 hours. I love having my caregiver come, but two hours is exactly what I need. They have made life easier because they get my wife on the bike so she can do exercises. With a smile, she helps my wife on the stretcher to stretch her knees.

If we had a longer time with Home Care Assistance, we might of given them more chances. It just took to long to get the right caregiver. The caregiver had a good understanding of what to do, but the scheduler didn't provide us with what my mom actually needed. For instance, the caregiver didn't know how to use a gait belt. We thought Home Care Assistance would provide cognitive care but the caregivers weren't trained on that.

The administrative person from Home Care Assistance was very nice. We did not have a lot of experience with the office staff. The staff at the rehabilitation center asked us to get a sitter because my mother kept trying to get out of bed. She was in the rehab facility because of a fall, so she needed to stay put. Once my mother realized she would have a sitter in her room, she got a lot better at using the call button.

I would like a consistent caregiver to build a bond with since I will need the service long-term soon. I understood that they were only caregivers and could only do so much. The services from Home Care Assistance helped somewhat, but the caregivers weren't able to do some of the things we requested because they weren't allowed to.
