only with them for a week, but harbor was incredible for the week my sister was on hospice with them. responsive to her needs and mine as her caretaker. I'd highly recommend at least speaking with them if you need hospice care.

Our experience with Harbor Hospice was rather short but most of the staff that we did interact with were very kind, compassionate, and helpful. We used Harbor Hospice in Clear Lake and Tiffany is someone I would like to specifically recognize. She guided us through the entire process and helped us with anything that we needed. Her responses were always prompt and you could tell that she truly cared. I would recommend this company to families in need of a hospice provider.

Our mother was signed up for hospice with this company with a Julie and Janice yesterday. The plan was to get her home to honor her last wishes but harbour had a different agenda. The hospital said they would remove the wound vacs at bedside and she would be released to go home. After that a case worker with this company manipulated our mother with false information and said the wound vac would need removal from the hospice facility because the hospital couldn't. Also they said she would need 24hrs at their facility for pain management. When we caught the lady up in lies she became very angry and rude. They are obviously only trying to get money and not concerned for last wishes. We notified the hospital who agreed with us and are taking measures on their end. We terminated service and changed hospice providers. Please be care of whom you trust in this terrible time of need with loved ones. They deserve better then this. In our case we only have a few days left and all our loved wants is to be home and in peace . The hospital said no reason she shouldn't go home that the pain is manged when she leaves them . Unnecessary waste of time going to hospice 24 hr site.

This facility was awesome, their nurses and staff were so helpful, and they care as you are their family. We were going through a difficult time with a family member with cancer, but Harbor was with us everyday with support caring and love. I would recommend this facility if you are having a family member in hospice need.

First of all look elsewhere. We thought all Hospice was the same, this is not true. We continually had to call for help. For the month of May they came out four times tops. They turned into Medicare they came 31 times. The day before Dad died I spoke with the director about my frustrations, she said, “Do you want me to come out?” I said YES!! She was to come the next day, but Dad died before she got there to evaluate him. She did come to pronounce him dead, discarded his medicine and we never heard from them again. It’s a hard time anyway and then have to continually call for help, supplies, medicine. Ridiculous. Their turnover is huge. Just look around as I wish we had.
Terrible Company

I am only giving Harbor one star because there isn't a lower number. They provided no care, would have to call the nurse each time to come see my husband. She insisted I keep him drugged. The morning he passed she came, examined him and said he was fine. After an hour I called her to come. She said it would be late that evening before she could come, to give him a pill. I called a friend who is a retired RN & she came. Before my husband died, he turned to me & said, I love you. If I would have listened to the Harbor nurse & drugged him, he would not have been able to speak to me. The Harbor nurse seem "shocked" that he died. Harbor also put the wrong information on his death certificate. Now I am dealing with them get it amended. Hospice companies are usually very good. Harbor hospice is NOT. I do not recommend them.

My mother was sent here for a respite 5 day stay. They inventoried her in with her wedding ring. She has worn it for 65 years. She said a male nurse came in and started taking it off her finger. She resisted but he assured her he was putting it in a safe place. She trusted him. By check out time the admin put an investigation on it. We never saw it again. Be sure and take off jewelry. Some people are so evil to steal a meaningful ring for $25 at a pawn shop. Harbor said, so sorry. My mother still asks me every day if they found her ring.

My grandmother went to Harbor Hospice from the hospital. They were great. The facility was spotless and clean. I could eat off the floor. The people were nice when I was there. Every morning when we walked in, she would be clean and would smell good. They had a kitchen, but they had food catered there and it looked good. They baked cookies in the morning. They had everything. Across the board it was a great facility.

We read some of the reviews before I went to visit Harbour Hospice for my brother. We weren't sure if this would be the place for him. So I called to see if I needed to schedule an appointment. They said no come any time which that made me feel good. By the time I got to Harbour Hospice in was late in the afternoon. The first thing I noticed was how quite it was. It was very spacious. Wide hallways for wheel chairs. The floors shined they were so clean and No Smell!!. Everyone was so pleasant and professional. So my brother went in on a Monday and passed away on a Thursday. We did not know he would be passing so fast. But he was in late stages of lung cancer. The cancer had already went to his bones. But at Harbour Hospice treated him with excellent care. They let us know what was going on and what to expect. I'm so ever grateful to them. They were genuinely helpful and concerned. I'm glad I went for the visit. You can't always believe what you Read.. Your best judgement would be what you see and feel in your heart. Thank you so much again Harbour Hospice for everything including your wonderful staff. Sincerely Lynette Zorn

Harbor Hospice is horrible. They lied to us about the service they can provide. They have an after hour line but they don't respond on time and is always late on appointed meetings. They only care about money and not the patient. They always try to find a reason to come when service is not needed but when service is critical, they drop the ball and their lies about services are transparent. Don't trust this association. Their nurses are not compassionate about thier job. They would've been rated lower but one star is the minimum.

My husband has been in Harbor Hospice for over a month now. They get the food from a restaurant and bring the food in. It’s really nice and clean. The people do take care of the patient. They have a chaplain that come by, they had television, and they can walk around. The staff was really friendly, and they know what they are doing. If they push the button, they will answer, and they will come to see what you need or what’s wrong. They come right away. I would recommend it.
