Timely, predictable visits with call ahead thoughtfulness. Family felt our loved one was respected, and well treated in every way. We were comfortable with every decision and interaction due to the skills and knowledge of each Amity person.

Every professional including a medical director that made visits to the home were perfect! My family has so much respect for the employees at Amity Hospice. They took such wonderful care of our Mother and our family. They kept the family informed. The employees treated our Mother like Gold. They show the upmost care, love and respect for their patients and their family's. I hope I do not leave anyone out but the team that we had the privilege to help our family was Amanda, Kevin, Lauren, Stacey, Cheryl, Amos and Sam. This has to be one of the most difficult jobs to have but the level of concern, care and professionalism that we experienced was unbelievable. My family truly views all of these people as Angles. The hospice team for my husband were very caring and supportive of his needs as well as the needs of our family. We were able to keep him home and care for him with the assistance of the hospice team which made the dying process less stressful for all of us. They were our angels in our time of need.

My mom was at Amity Hospice for about a week. 80 percent of the nurses were fantastic. They were attentive and worked with mom. The other 20 percent slept when they should have taken care of the residents. I would suggest they improve the nurse selection.

I would like other families to know that a lot of the nurses that Amity hires are great, but they also have the nurses that sleep on the job when they are suppose to be attending to your loved one. I had also try to contact Brett the liaison the weekend this happened and to this day I have yet to hear from him. Research long and well and do not have your loved one pass while the attendant is sleeping.
