Just wrapped up 2.5 months of home therapy with Texas Home Health and the experience has been excellent! Previously, I had PT and OT while in two facilities here (also excellent) and the home continuation flowed beautifully! The level of care/expertise provided by Texas Home Health was exemplary and staff was extremely accomodating regarding schedules, workouts etc. Caregivers were personable and professional. Everyone I interacted with was great!

My father was released from hospital late january 2019. I have had nothing but trouble in getting everything scheduled. Numerous calls with promises they would call back and never did. Just one of their staff had the decency to call the night before and schedule. That person would look on the scheduling calender and give me insight as to who was coming when and understood my frustration. When I called the scheduler again she told me that the nurse was not suppose to be looking at the calendar. When I told the nurse when she came the following week, she said that is how they are trained to handle that type of request. She was upset that the scheduler said that. The 3rd party that they contract with for physical therapy is very good but I am terminating contract with TX Home Health today after a nurse who called at last minute took my frustration personally and said he would not be talked to that way. Never again with this agency.

I was with Texas Home Health when I went in to the hospital in December. I was somewhat unsatisfied. The therapist that they sent out wasn't doing therapy with my hand at all. The doctor's orders seemed a little bit vague so there was no communication between the OT and Texas Home Health. He tried several times faxing paper to them and he tried several times calling them, but they didn't seem to respond. I've called them and I did not get a quick response and I learned that they outsource their aides, their nurses and their OT, so they don't really have a reign on what their schedules are or anything like that. I really didn't know when they were coming. The OT has always kept his schedule but I had problems with the bath lady. They sent another one out and I had problems with her. It seemed like they were more about their nails and their eyelashes than they were with helping the patient. They didn't seem well organized or put together. I felt that I would have to call each individual person that was coming out, the nurse, the aide and the OT or the PT. Instead of just calling one number, you have to call each individual person and that just got too burdensome for me. I was fighting a broken wrist and a broken bladder at that time, and it was very painful. I was in the hospital for a month and during which time none of my medical needs were addressed. They only tried to just do therapy. That facility did not have the means to do what I needed to have done externally from the hospital. I was having communication problems with them and everything, so I just went ahead and told my doctor I want to get released. They told me that they had two bath ladies for 450 patients, and they didn't want to scrub. They didn't want to put any pressure on me. I couldn't do certain areas, so they had to do a lot of the scrubbing and they were just kind of petting the skin. They didn't seem like they were all that interested. They didn't want to ruin their manicure. One lady showed up twice in two weeks, and then the other lady showed up once. I need a bath more than that.

Texas Home Health provided therapy and a nurse to check on me. They were very good, and scheduling was OK. They came a couple of days a week.

My experience with community care aid was not pleasurable. We only needed 12 hour a week and in a three week we did not get 12 hr totals. People didn't show up for work, no one would call, i would call supervisor and she would say she didn't have anyone to come for that day...service. really sucked. My husband was very ill, i was worrird about him and stressing with them.

Texas Home Health has been a life saver for not only my Dad, but for me. If they come to his room and he is not there, I get a call. I love that. They are all wonderful so far. Texas Home Health obviously CARES who they hire.
