My Father is on service with Compassus currently and they have done a phenomenal job. Very caring and they take the time with him that we all need. Caregiver comes several times a week and when we call they are always available for a visit, even in the middle of the night. Nurses are supportive and knowledgeable, excellent experience so far. So many costs covered which is a blessing. We would recommend this place.

Very poor excuse for a Hospice organization!! total lack of communication between staff members and to family. I've been a Hospice nurse for 10 years and have never witnessed this type of chaos, confusion, lack of medical knowledge and compassion! My loved one suffered terminal restlessness that was horrible and they didn't know how to control it. they never showed up for their visits on time, if they showed up at all. one of the nurses had the audacity to tell me that she didn't like the way I was doing things here by "letting him sleep all day so he's awake at night" I couldn't believe it! He was actively dying!! They have no clue about proper end of life medications. It has been one month since my brother in law passed away, to date, NO ONE from this organization ( expect the nursing assistant and volunteer) has ever called to offer condolences, support, bereavement follow up for my sister...NOTHING! Plus they "forgot" to call the medical supply company to remove the equipment after he died. We ended up doing it ourselves. What a sad excuse for a hospice. I would NEVER recommend their services to anyone. and I fully intend on reporting this to the state board of nursing for TX.

I had high hopes for this hospice group as they came recommended by a hospital social worker. Needless to say, I am disappointed in their care of my loved one as well as lack of communication with the family. The first RN we received was great however it was short lived and we were assigned another RN. A supervisor at that. This RN supervisor is not attentive, seems to not know what to say to the family..when she calls, if she calls, not informative, no coverage when she is out of office, care has been minimal at best. My previous experience with 2 other hospice groups were exceptional, this hospice group, however, needs much more improvement for just the basic standards of hospice. Compassus they are not.
