Home Instead has been assisting with the care of my wife, who has worsening Alzheimer's-type dementia. We are starting our second year with them. They are here for 8 hours during the day most days. They provide essential care with bathing, dressing, laundry, meals and light housework. They spend time reading to her, and doing puzzles, light exercising and the like. They always help s asked. I am especially impressed that they are almost uniformly upbeat and cheerful, ahd that is often not easy in these circumstances. A lady named Se (pronounced "see") has been especially good, always upbeat and cheerful and able to lift my wife's mood when needed.

My aunt is using Home Instead. We have currently Diana who has been with them for a while. She's one of the lead primary care people for my aunt and she's been doing a really good job. We appreciate her efforts. She's a wonderful care professional. I've been using the Home Instead services since the beginning of 2020. I've been working with various people through the agency, through the pandemic, 2021 and 2022, and now starting another year, and it's provided just valuable service for my aunt who is high functioning, but has some mobile issues because of her age. It's helped her stay in her house because although she can do many things for herself, the extra assistance that they provide has been perfect. They've done a wonderful job. They're a really good, caring organization. They've got a good structure where they have a coordinator come out and do quality checks in addition to the homecare professionals that come on a daily basis. They have someone following up with them. They keep really good log records, so when I'm not here and come in a few weeks later, I can look through the logbook and get a flavor for the daily routine. Although I speak with my aunt twice a day, once in the morning and once at night, it's still good to have that extra record. It's been a good professional experience. I like the flexibility, and because of the employment situation, they need to increase for minimums on the hours, which can be a hardship for some families. However, it benefited my aunt even though it becomes more costly because she needs more facetime. They're able to help her with the daily living and the care that she needs. I use it daily except for the days that I'm here during the month. I'm here three or four days in addition to all my behind the scenes work. There's flexibility on Sunday, so that she can go to church, but they provide transportation, too, if she needs to run errand and helping her in and out of the tub for bathing, which is a good thing. I have other safety equipment for ramps for the home, I have a chair lift if she got to go upstairs, safety bars, and all that stuff. Even though she can get around with her walker just fine, it's nice to have that face contact every day to to help her with the menial chores you and I take for granted. Diana is compassionate, caring, and she understands. She's older, but she still works. She's worked with the elderly population for a while, so she's a good listener. She's been able to make my aunt feel safe and happy when she's here. The fact that my aunt looks forward to her coming is good because sometimes you get care professionals, which are really good at what they do, but not everyone bonds with the personality. She's bonded so well with her.

We've been using Home Instead for about a year and a half now. I like everything. They're compassionate, caring, and efficient. It's just an excellent service. We use them seven days a week. Jean is mom's main caregiver and she's just excellent, compassionate, and caring. She makes sure all mom's needs are met. She has other caregivers, but Jean is the main one. She provides great companionship. She gives excellent care for my mom everywhere from start to finish.

I've been using Home Instead - Zanesville for almost a year now. I like the fact that I can stay in my own home. They get people that like cats. I've gone through a few people that I didn't mesh with, but the ones I did mesh with are awesome. They'll do anything I ask. My main caregiver, who's now on disability post surgery for 12 weeks, would do everything without me even asking her. She would clean, she would make food, she'd cut up vegetables, and all the things I can't do because my hands are very weak. I can no longer chop things or hardly use my utensils, that's why I still have them. I use them four days a week, four hours at a time, so it's 16 hours a week. That's the minimum that I can use. They take the billing directly from my checking account. It's a little expensive, but the care is worth it for me. I call them all the time and change my hours, and 99% of the time, they can do that and they'll make arrangements.

I've been using Home Instead - Zanesville since November of last year. I needed someone to drive me places. They help me with anything I need if I ask them. I have to use my muscles and training to keep my strength up and everything, so I do some of my cleaning. They take me to the grocery, they open the door for me, and they are very good to me. When I ask them to do something, they'll do it, like they carry my laundry up from the basement. I do the laundry and fold the laundry, and they carry it up the steps. I can wash the low windows, and they do anything that's on a stepladder. I use them for three hours on Tuesday and Wednesday, and three hours on Thursday and Friday. I have two girls and they're fine. I needed the companionship. They take me places and they have to take me to a beauty shop at 1:00 on Friday. I take them out to eat one meal a week. We chitchat, and they take me to the doctor or the grocery or where I need to go. I'm 85 and I get around pretty good, but I sort of like this babying. I like to be taken care of. I pay my own bills and do my own banking and they take me to banks. It's just a carryover from what my husband used to do. I don't ask them to do a lot, but they're here when I need them and I know when they'll be here, so that's a big help. Maria, the gal who checks on me, is super.
